So far 807 players registered for Day 1b. With 246 registered yesterday for Day 1a the field is now at 1,053 players. While this is already bigger than last year's field size for the EPT Prague Main Event of 1,044 players, it is still shy of the 1,107 entrants which set a record during 2014's event.
On average, pots are starting to get a little bigger around the room with the new blind level introduced which includes a nominal 25 ante.
In a recent three-way hand with already 5,000 in the pot on a 
board, two players opted to check their hands including William Kassouf before the third player fired out a bet of 2,500. Kassouf called before the player after he raised it up to 11,200. The initial bettor tanked for a couple of minutes before folding and Kassouf quickly gave up on the pot when the action was to him as well.

Max Silver bet 5,000 from the hijack on a 
board and saw a player in the small blind make it 11,000 to go. Silver dropped in calling chips and then immediately folded to a shove for his last 12,000 on the 
river.

While we don't have an exact list of entrants playing with family members, we do know that two brothers from France in Derek and Florian Decamps are both in the Day 1a field.
Florian has had a rough start and his stack is now down to half the starting size. In a recent hand with already 5,000 in the pot before the 
appeared on the flop, Florian checked the action to his opponent before calling a bet for 2,700.
Both players opted to check when the 
appeared on the turn. Meanwhile, when the 
appeared on the river, Florian tossed into the pot one 5,000 chip and declared a bet of 4,500. His opponent thought things over before calling. The pot shipped to Florian's opponent after he showed 
and his opponent exposed 
for middle pair and Florian's stack dropped to around 13,000.
Derek is faring a bit better on another table with a stack of 35,000.

Lots of banter in a hand preflop with William Kassouf involved. Things began with Kassouf's opponent raising to 550. Kassouf opted to make a small three-bet to 1,125 and shared, "I am not bluffing. I have a bigger pair." The banter between his opponent went back and forth with both speculating on what each other had before Kassouf's opponent raised the action to 3,350. A discussion between the two continued with Kassouf's opponent offering to show one card if Kassouf folded before adding that it had to be a preflop fold.
Kassouf called the bet before the flop and called another bet of 2,500 on the 
flop, but not before more discussions took place between the two players. Kassouf's opponent reminded him that he wouldn't show cards anymore for a fold while they both continued to speculate what each other were holding.
The appeared on the turn. A player not involved in the hand called the clock after about 30 seconds. A floor person came over to the table 15-20 seconds later, but no action was taken since not enough time passed relating to this specific action despite some of the other actions taking a bit of time. Kassouf's opponent then fired out for 9,000. Kassouf asked how much the bet was and grinned and said, "Nine high like a boss," before tossing his hand into the muck.
Kassouf, has been hovering most of the early part of the day around the opening stack of 30,000 in chips had around 28,500 after the hand.
