Christophe Larquemin raised to 25,000 and Charlie Carrel called in the small blind. On the flop, Larquemin immediately moved all in even though it was not his turn yet. Carrel was given the option to check, then Larquemin's bet would stand, or he could bet and Larquemin was to be given all betting options again.
"I just want to have a smoke," the Frenchman said. Ultimately, Carrel mucked the and Larquemin showed him the .
Alexander Ivarsson raised to 25,000 from the button, but that was not sufficient for Ben Heath. He reraised to 84,000, and with action back on Ivarsson he gave it a good think. Ultimately he announced all-in, and Heath almost turned over his hand before announcing "Call".
Ivarsson's were racing with Heath's , but it was anything but a race after the flop landed .
Turn gave Heath nines as well, but the river was the , and Heath was officially eliminated.
Hari Bercovici has been very laid back these past couple of hours, but now the Israeli is really catching his stride.
Bercovici put his last 75,000 chips to the middle from the button, before Stephen Chidwick from the small blind shoved as well. Pierre Neuville in the big blind didn't look too appalled with the idea of a three-way all-in, but ultimately decided against it and folded.
Bercovici's needed to connect with the board against Chidwick's , and the Israeli did just that on the flop. Neither the turn; or the river; made Chidwick's hand the winner, and Bercovici doubled up to 165,000.
The very next hand Bercovici shoved again, this time over a 25,000 chips raise from Marcin Chmielewski. Chmielewski found the call with but was trailing badly to the of Bercovici.
The board ran out and all of a sudden Bercovici was very much alive in this tournament once again.
Alexander Ivarsson open-shoved the small blind and Farid Jattin glanced at both hole cards and immediately called.
Farid Jattin:
Alexander Ivarsson:
The board came and Jattin doubled for 130,000. He then leaned over to the other table and chatted with Philipp Gruissem. "What you were talking about ... they go all in and you look," Gruissem laughed back, as the German had just doubled not long ago with Aces.
After losing the all in against Hari Bercovici, Marcin Chmiewski moved all in for 148,000 from under the gun. The action folded to Pierre Neuville and he also moved all in with slightly more. Cristian Egues asked for a count and Neuville's shove was for 170,000. The Spaniard eventually called to create a three-way all in.
Marcin Chmiewski:
Pierre Neuville:
Cristian Egues:
The flop left Chmiewski with little hope of a comeback, and the on the turn made things official. A now meaningless appeared on the river and Neuville essentially tripled up thanks to the small blind and antes, while Chmiewski was eliminated in 16th place for €20,250.
[Removed:172] raised to 20,000 on the button and Christophe Larquemin called in the big blind. On the flop, Larquemin check-called a bet of 16,000 and check-folded the turn to a second barrel.
Hand 2
One hand later, Kramer raised the cutoff and Larquemin shoved in the small blind for 64,000, Kramer quickly called.
Hari Bercovici raised to 22,000 and Pierre Neuville called. Philipp Gruissem three-bet to 70,000 and that forced folds.
Hand 2
On the button, Cristian Egues raised to 23,000 and Gruissem three-bet to 60,000 out of the small blind. Egues made it 120,000 to go and that won the pot.
The remaining 15 players are on a 20-minute break. When they return, two further levels of 60 minutes each will be played or until the last six are reached, whichever of the two comes first.
When the tournament staff announced the 20-minute break, there was a big hand developing on both of the two remaining tables.
Neuville vs. Gruissem
On table one Pierre Neuville raised to 27,000 before Gruissem made it 62,000 to go on the button. Neuville called.
Flop came down , and Neuville check-called 55,000.
The turn was checked through before river hit the felt.
On the river Neuville checked yet again, prompting Gruissem to cut out 125,000 and slide them over the line. Neuville thought long and hard, before beginning an almost ritualistic dance with his chips. Ultimately he put in a raise to 264,000, leaving himself only about 80,000 behind.
"Why so small, don't you want it all?", Gruissem asked. Neuville didn't answer.
"You ARE a bit crazy, Pierre. Otherwise I would have folded long ago", Gruissem followed up. Still no response.
In the end he let it go, and Neuville let out a big grin while stacking the chips.
Kane vs. Ivarsson
On table two it was Kane and Ivarsson battling it out.
Preflop Ivarsson raised to 25,000, and only Kane called.
Flop came down , and Kane check-called 25,000 to see the on the turn. This time the price was 70,000 from Ivarsson, and once again Kane called.
