Nordh Approaching 100K

Nível 5 : 150/300, 25 ante

We got to the table with what appeared to be a three-bet of 2,250 sitting in front of Adrian Hinz who was on the button and a four-bet of 7,700 on the table in front of Gustav Nordh from the cutoff. Hinz made the call and the two would see a flop of {5-Spades}{3-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}. Nordh led out for 9,200 and Hinz would tank for several minutes before table mate Victor Ramdin would call the clock. About halfway into the minute countdown, Hinz called.

The turn was the {J-Spades} and Nordh peered over at Hinz's stack, looking at how many chips he had left. It was approximately 16,000 and after a quick glance at the board, Nordh tossed three T5,000 blue chips into the middle.

Hinz grimaced, rubbed his eyes, and then shook his head in disbelief. He looked up, as poker players often do in crucial moments, and then grabbed his cards, holding them ever so slightly above his remaining chips. One last head shake from the German and then he folded his hand.

"What'd you have," the player in Seat 1 asked Nordh.

"Ace king," was the response.

"Kings," said the stunned Hinz.

"Really?" said Nordh, a look of disbelief on his face.

A player asked Nordh where he was from. "Sweden," he answered. "Ah, that explains it," quipped the player. Laughter ensued but Hinz didn't seem pleased as he got up from the table to collect himself.
