During 12 trips to Barcelona, some of the EPT’s finest moments have occurred in this casino. PokerStars Blog picks some undisputed highlights, including drunken Finns in spangly hats, the biggest over-celebration for a routine hold and some painstaking deal-making.
In a hand right before the dinner break, Charlie Carrel raised to 1,000 from under the gun, and Jonas Christensen called from the cutoff seat. Sergi Escote called on the button, and Julien Mariani called from the big blind.
The flop came down , and Mariani checked. Carrel bet 2,200, Christensen called, Escote folded, and Mariani called.
The turn was the , and Mariani checked. Carrel bet 4,300, and Christensen made the call. Mariani folded.
The river was the , and both Carrel and Christensen checked.
Carrel tabled the for a pair of tens, but his hand was no good against the that Christensen turned up and the Dane won the pot.
