The European Poker Tour Season 10 Player of the Year race is on, and as you know players have been accumulating points in all events throughout Season 10, regardless of the buy-in level. In addition, all of the Festival Events (Estrellas, UKIPT, Eureka, FPS, IPT) that combine with an EPT tour stop have been eligible for Player of the Year points. The winner of this season’s award will walk away with €50,000 in Main Event buy-ins, good for any PokerStars or Full Tilt sponsored event.
The Global Poker Index (GPI) points formula, which will be used to determine the EPT10 POY, is a bit complicated, but you can read about all the details here.
Over the last day, Adrian Diaz has jumped up to the No. 9 spot with 552.79 points, which pushed Ami Barer down to 10th. Likewise, it resulted in Mike "Timex" McDonald falling out of the top ten.

We saw Tam Truong lingering on the rail, and he was kind enough to inform us of the details surrounding his demise. According to him, he got his last 15 big blinds all in preflop holding 
against an opponent who held [10x10x. Truong explained this particular opponent had shoved on him earlier, so he was hoping to be racing in the worst case scenario. Unfortunately that wasn't the case and he failed to find a third seven.

As mentioned before, Ronan Monfort could have done with a double up similar to Christian Favale and he just did that. From under the gun he moved all-in for 20 big blinds with pocket tens and the small blind called with eights.
Shortly after Christian Favale doubled up again, his victim was the same as before. We joined the action on the 
turn where Favale bet 4,000 and called the raise to 8,400 from Martic Andrija. On the river Favale moved all in for 17,800 into a pot of 25,000 and Martic leveled himself into a call with queen high. Favale showed the for another double up.
