Weird Spot

Nível 5 : 200/400, 50 ante
Griffin Benger
Griffin Benger

Griffin Benger had mistakenly thought he was in the big blind and had put out 400. Three players had folded when they realised something had gone wrong and the floor was called to adjudicate.

The floor explained that because there had been “substantial action.” i.e three players folding, it would be ruled a call and the action would now be on Philipp Gruissem. Benger explained that he hadn’t even looked at his cards.

Being poker players they all had an opinion on the matter, but in the end the ruling stood and it was accepted. Benger’s chips would stay out there as a call.

Gruissem raised it to 1,200 from the button and Sam Trickett made the call in the small blind. Antoine Saout folded the big blind and now Benger looked at his cards.

Benger made it 4,500 to go. Gruissem folded and Trickett laughed “That’s such a weird spot. I don’t want to stack off.” He folded his {5-Spades}{5-Clubs} and Benger showed the table {8-Clubs}{3-Clubs}. “I had to.” he explained.
