Scott Seiver and Viktor Blom got into a raising war preflop that saw all of the money go in. Blom tabled the and was well ahead of the for Seiver. Blom was the player at risk for 138,500 in chips and doubled up after the board ran out .
Mike McDonald raised to 4,800 in the cutoff and Govert Metaal called in the big blind. The flop was and Metaal check-called a 6,600 McDonald bet. Fourth street was the and the same action ensued; this time for 13,500. Finally the river card was laid flat on its back - - and Metaal folded to a 33,000 McDonald river bet.
Govert Metaal has just eliminated Dieter Albrecht. He has not immediately reloaded so we will assume he is out of this competition until we here otherwise. We didn't see the hand play out but Metaal told us the majority of the action.
Metaal completed from the small blind before Albrecht raised making it 5,000 to play. Metaal called and the pair saw a flop of (one diamond) and both players checked. The turn was second diamond, Metaal bet 5,000 and Albrecht called. The river was the and Metaal bet 13,000, Albrecht moved all-in and Metaal called. Metaal was holding for the full house and he assumes Albrecht held the flush but he didn't show his hand.
Sam Chartier raised to 4,000 from under the gun and Team PokerStars Pro Viktor Blom reraised to 13,500 from the next seat. Talal Shakerchi four-bet to 26,000 from the cutoff and action folded back to Blom. He five-bet to 65,000 and Shakerchi called.
The flop came down and Blom bet 70,000. Shakerchi made the call.
The turn was the and Blom fired all in for 148,100. Shakerchi folded anc Blom won the pot to move to over 400K and into the chip lead.
From the button, Scott Seiver raised to 5,000. Sam Chartier reraised from the small blind to 15,400 and Seiver called.
After the flop, Chartier bet 18,000 and Seiver called. That brought the two players to the turn and Chartier checked. Seiver fired 28,000 and Chartier mucked his hand.
Tony G wasted little time in getting to work. He just sent Isaac Haxton to the rail after the two got all of the money in on a board with Tony G holding for a flopped full house against Haxton's for a turned straight. The river blanked and Haxton was eliminated.
Isaac Haxton just re-entered the event after his elimination. He's on his second bullet and with another 250,000 in chips. We'll have an updated seat draw coming shortly.
