Reynolds Doubles Through Ruthenberg

Somehow the money went in preflop between William Reynolds and Team PokerStars Pro Sebastian Ruthenberg. We say somehow because Reynolds tabled the {A-Spades}{A-Hearts} and was up against the {6-Spades}{5-Hearts} for Ruthenberg.

The flop, turn and river ran out {A-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{10-Spades}{J-Diamonds} and Reynolds doubled up.

Battle of the Brits: Adeniya v Perrins

We joined the action on a flop of {8-Clubs} {6-Hearts} {6-Diamonds} and as the title suggests, the two players in the pot are Martins Adeniya and Matt Perrins. Adeniya is seated in mid-position and he bees 1,025 and Perrins made the call from the cutoff. The turn was the {Q-Hearts} and Adeniya bet 2,825 and once again Perrins made the call (leaving himself with around 10,000 behind). The river card was the {7-Diamonds}, Adeniya set him all-in and Perrins snap-called. When the cards were turned over it was a cooler and the chips headed the way of Perrins.

MacPhee Doubles Up; Del Curto Eliminated

We picked up the action on the {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{3-Clubs} flop as Arno Del Curto bet 4,000 and Kevin MacPhee raised to 8,000. Del Curto moved all in and MacPhee beat him into the pot. MacPhee held the {3-Hearts}{3-Spades} for bottom set and Del Curto the {A-Clubs}{8-Clubs} for top pair.

The turn was the {J-Clubs} and helped Del Curto by giving him a backdoor flush draw. The river completed the board with the {10-Hearts} and MacPhee won the pot.

The chips were very close and at final count, Del Curto was all in on the flop for 19,450 and MacPhee 18,650. That meant MacPhee had doubled through and Del Curto was left crippled.

On the next hand, Del Curto was all in preflop for his last 750 with the {A-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}. Mats Gavatin made the call with the {Q-Hearts}{8-Spades} and the board ran out {Q-Spades}{8-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{K-Spades} to eliminate Del Curto.

Oliver Gonna Oliver

Action folded around to the player in the hijack seat and he raised to 875. Chris Oliver clicked it up one more notch to 1,325 and everyone folded back to the original raiser. He informed the dealer that Oliver was 25 chips short of a legal raise. After some math, Oliver tossed in the extra 25 and made it 1,350. His opponent took a minute while he took some bites of his sandwich, then called.

The flop came down {9-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{2-Clubs} and the hijack seat tossed out a red T1,000 chip while verbally declaring a bet. We're unsure of how much he made the bet for, although it sounded like the dealer announced 500. Before she could get the words out of her mouth, Oliver was firing in a raise to 1,500. Right away, his opponent fired back to 2,500 and Oliver beat him into the pot with an all-in shove. The player tanked for a bit, took some more bites of his sandwich nonchalantly, then called all in for around 10,000 total.

Oliver showed the {K-Clubs}{9-Clubs} and his opponent the {A-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}. Oliver's top pair was good so far against his opponent's bottom pair.

The turn was the {4-Clubs} and river the {6-Spades}. Oliver won the pot and eliminated his opponent en route to 55,000 in chips.

A Pot For Ebanks

There was a raise to 800 in early position, Joe Ebanks called on the button as did Kevin MacPhee in the big blind. The flop was {A-Spades} {8-Clubs} {3-Clubs} and the action checked to Ebanks who bet 1,500 and only MacPhee made the call. The turn card was the {9-Spades} and MacPhee check-folded to a 4,500 Ebanks bet.

Here's Tommy

Tommy Vedes just showed up hot off his victory at the World Poker Tour Seminole Hard Rock Showdown two days ago where he won his second WPT title for just under $800,000. He's a bit late to the party, but it's not his fault.

Vedes' flight was scheduled to land at 2:30 PM in Nice, France and then he'd be on his way to the tournament. A little late, but he wouldn't lose too many blinds as he was going to be entered right at the end of registration. Well, after a two-hour flight delay and some other issues getting in the way, Vedes didn't show up until a little bit after 6:00 PM. Blinded down or not, he was ready to go and ready to run it up.

Shortly after sitting at his table, Vedes was involved in a three-way pot on the {9-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} flop. The first player checked and then Vedes fired 1,700. Behind him, Aubin Cazals made the call and then the first player called.

The turn was the {A-Spades} and the first player checked again. Vedes didn't slow down and stuck out a bet of 2,725. Cazals folded, but the first player folded.

The river completed the board with the {10-Diamonds} and the first player checked. Vedes fired 5,775 and his opponent folded. Better late than never and Vedes is up to 38,000.
