At 6.10 p.m. local time, the A$1,150 Mix-Max Event of the 2016 Aussie Millions Poker Championship gets underway at the poker room of the Crown Entertainment Complex. The tournament features a unique structure with levels of 40 minutes and a starting stack of 10,000 chips.
Registration as well as a single reentry is possible until the end of level six and the tournament will be played full ring until the last 36 players remain. Then, the remaining participants will be drawn to six six-handed tables and play continues until the last eight remain. Those finalists will be ranked according to their chip count and heads up rounds will commence (1 vs 8, 2 vs 7, 3 vs 6, 4 vs 5) with the winners of each match to progress until a champion is crowned.
