On a board of we saw David Peters bet 6,200 from the big blind. Igor Kurganov made the call from the button and the popped up on the river. Peters bet 13,600 and Kurganov snap called by tossing in a single 100 chips. Peters showed for top two pair and Kurganov added the 13,500 before he mucked.
Jason Mercier opened to 3,000 from the hijack and Jason Koon on the button shoved all in for 30,600. Both blinds folded and Mercier instantly tossed in his big 25,000 chips to call.

Koon then kindly asked O'Dwyer to touch his cards for good luck, and the converted Irishman obliged. Koon already apologized to Mercier for winning the hand, even before a single community card had been dealt!
And wouldn't you know it: on the flop. Koon jokingly apologized again as the hit the turn. Mercier tried to twist his fate by rubbing his cards forward, but the on the river did not help him and he doubled up his namesake.

Igor Kurganov, who finished runner-up in the $25K Challenge last night for AU$541,680, opened with a raise under the gun and Martin Jacobson called from the big blind. Jacobson then check-called a bet of on the flop before leading out for 9,100 on the turn.

Kurganov only had 36,000 back and opted to call it off with the for a pair of kings. Kitson Kho just got eliminated by Fedor Holz on the feature table. The two got it in on with Holz holding while Kho had . The on the turn sealed the deal for Holz and Kho could make his exit. The on the river was of no importance and Kho left the tournament area.
Byron Kaverman opened the button and Erik Seidel defended from the big blind. Both players checked the flop of before Seidel bet out 5,000 on the turn. Kaverman made the call and the hit the river. Seidel now checked, and just about instantly called the 5,000 bet Kaverman made. Kaverman showed for the turned straight and Seidel mucked.
Up on the feature table, there was 34,300 in the pot and a board reading when Dario Sammartino bet 18,000 from the big blind with the straight and Phil Ivey called from the button.
When the completed the board on the river, Sammartino checked and Ivey moved all in for 135,000. Sammartino didn't seem pleased, used a time extension, and eventually called.
Ivey rolled over the for a full house, and Sammartino watched the massive 341,000 pot pushed to his opponent.
