Day 2 of Event #29: $25 Main Event Mystery Bounty at the 888 Poker KO Games Kicks Off

Day 2 of Event #29: $25 Main Event Mystery Bounty at the 888 Poker KO Games kicks off today at 4 p.m. ET with 1,367 players remaining from a total of 7,959 entries across the Day 1 flights. With a guaranteed prizepool of $200,000, that means there is a sizable overlay sitting at around $28,000 with extra value for those who make it into the money. That being said, the last Day 1 flight has yet to conclude, so those numbers will change by the time Day 2 begins.

Currently leading the field is "brainiac1" of Croatia, who managed to spin their 12,000 starting stack up to an impressive 448,724 on Day 1, good for 281 Big Blinds to start Day 2. They put some distance between themselves and their nearest competitor, Ukraine's "Yarik_PRO_1", who enters the day with 409,380. Brazilian "mateusep" rounds out the top three on 308,892.

The mystery bounty portion of the tournament comes into effect on Day 2 with a massive $20,000 top bounty up for grabs, not a bad return for a $25 investment. There are also two $6,000 bounties and six $2,000 bounties with the complete breakdown set to be confirmed once cards are in the air. In addition, a not too shabby $10,800 is currently slated to go the eventual winner's way from the regular prizepool.

Blinds resume in Level 18 at 800/1,600 with a 200 ante. As on Day 1, they will continue to increase every 12-minutes with play on Day 2 continuing until the final table is set. The final table will resume tomorrow, December 12th at 2 p.m. ET.

Stay tuned to PokerNews as its live reporting team brings you all the action from Event #29: $25 Main Event Mystery Bounty.

With the start of Day 2, the late registration period has now ended. A total of 8,008 entries barely met the $200,000 guarantee, which will be split evenly between the regular and mystery bounty prizepools.

The regular prizepool will be divided amongst the top 760 players, each of whom is guaranteed $50 while the winner will walk away with $10,800 to go along with any bounties they collect along the way. Each bounty, meanwhile, is worth a minimum of $25 and the top $20,000 bounty is still on the table.
