"UGOTPOONCHED" Leads Final Eight in Event #19: $162 Mystery Bounty

"UGOTPOONCHED" Leads Final Eight in Event #19: $152 Mystery Bounty
"UGOTPOONCHED" Leads Final Eight in Event #19: $152 Mystery Bounty

After roughly four hours of play on Day 2 of Event #19: $162 Mystery Bounty at the 888 KO Games, just eight players remain from a start of day field of 313.

Leading those eight is "UGOTPOONCHED" on 2,734,663, good for 34 big blinds. Right on their heels sits "Zindane" with 2,620,005, followed by "thechronic99" (2,399,349) in third.

All Day 2 survivors have locked up at least $1,940 from the regular prizepool but with $15,480 sitting up top for the winner, no one will want to be the first to go out. Although the eight remaining players will see a sizable return on their investment, perhaps the biggest winner of the day was "zxcdsaqwe", who just a few moments into play drew the top $20,000 bounty. Although they were eventually eliminated short of the money, that is unlikely to be too sore a point for them.

Much of the focus of the day may have been on the large bounties up for grabs but with half the prizepool awarded by finishing position, the money bubble too was important. The unfortunate individual to fall just short of the 144 money places was "YguTj", securing the remaining players at least $250. Play continued at a rapid pace from that point and it did not take long for the final table to be set with the elimination of "Daniel_PSza" in 9th place.

The tournament will resume December 5th at 2 p.m. ET at which point play will continue until a winner is crowned. Be sure to follow PokerNews for continued updates of Event #19: $162 Mystery Bounty.

Level 30: 8,000/16,000

"DanyaM" opened to 32,000 from under the gun before "WoofWoof77" three-bet to 88,000 in middle position. Undeterred by the heavy action, "23NoraB" moved all in for 372,294 out of the small blind. "DanyaM" folded but "WoofWoof77" made the call with the covering stack to put their opponent at risk.

"23NoraB": AK
"WoofWoof77": KK

"23NoraB" was in rough shape, needing to find an ace as an immediate out to survive. The JA7 flop turned the tables and left "WoofWoof77" hoping for one of the two remaining kings or running broadway cards to regain the lead. Nothing changed, however, on the 5 turn and 5 river to hand "23NoraB" a fortuitious full double.

Level 25: 3,000/6,000

Level 22: 1,750/3,500

"oowmygodness" opened to 7,000 from middle position and "YguTj" committed their last 168 to the pot on the button. Both "aanatt" in the small blind and "guitiradent1" in the big blind called to leave "YguTj" on the brink.

Action checked through the 9Q10 flop to the 2 turn at which point "aanatt" checked for a second time. "guitiradent1" fired off 6,142 and was called by "oowmygodness". "aanatt" responded by moving all in for 21,251, forcing "guitiradent1" out of the hand. "oowmygodness", meanwhile, made the call to put both of their opponents at risk.

"aanatt" was ahead with the overpair but both "YguTj" and "oowmygodness" had straight draws. The river bricked out 6, however, to send "YguTj" out on the stone bubble while handing a healthy pot to "aanatt".

Level 20: 1,250/2,500

"ingeruRO14" opened to 5,250 from under the gun and was called by "Peter_Martin" in the cutoff. The remaining players got out of the way to send action heads up to the flop.

"ingeruRO14" continued for 4,328 on the Q34 flop and was called.

The 10 turn saw "ingeruRO14" continue their aggression with a bet of 18,918. Again, "Peter_Martin" called.

"ingeruRO14" applied maximum pressure on the board pairing Q river by moving all in. "Peter_Martin", the effective stack, had less than pot behind and quickly called holding JJ. It was no good, however, as "ingeruRO14" held 76 for the runner-runner flush to secure the pot and knockout, which came with a minimum bounty.

Day 2 of Event #19: $162 Mystery Bounty at the 888 Poker KO Games kicks off today at 4 p.m. ET with 218 players remaining from a total of 1,322 entries across the Day 1 flights. With a guaranteed prizepool of $200,000, that means there is a very slight overlay with extra value for those who make it into the money. That being said, the last Day 1 flight has yet to conclude, so those numbers will change by the time Day 2 begins.

Currently leading the survivors is "RamboTheDog" of Mexico, sitting on a stack of 241,562. That player managed to put some distance between themself and the rest of the field as their nearest competitor, "Ksy221", returns with 182,432. "SeT4x4" rounds out the top three with 176,950.

Blinds resume in Level 18 at 800/1,600 with a 200 ante and will increase every 12 minutes. Play on Day will continue until the final table is set, at which point the remaining players will be on break until tomorrow, December 5th at 2 p.m. ET.
