Among the household names making a deep run in the event was Uruguay's Fabrizio "DrMiKee" Gonzales, who has proved his game to be on point during this series. Today he was knocked out just eight places before what would've been his fourth final table during this year's Super XL.

With two tables left, the former EPT and WSOPE winner, Adrian "ADRI_ATM" Mateos, held the chip lead at one point. Even though the Spaniard did end up making the final table, he was eliminated after just one hand when his queen-ten suited couldn't connect against a pocket pair of sixes.

The elimination of "poohmanCZ" followed shortly after, before the fast placed play on the final table came to a complete halt. Chips were traded for close to 45 minutes before the eliminations started happening again.

When Swedish player "casinopro888" was finally knocked out shortly after 7 a.m. GMT, the final table caught fire. Within a couple of minutes, Dutchman "ROLDY18" was send packing in 6th place as he/she ran pocket nines into jacks, and a few hands later Argentina's "MechaREcorta" was eliminated when the {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} couldn't hold up in a head-to-head battle against the {A-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} of "Enigmasility".

The very next hand, "Enigmasility" was gifted by Lady Luck yet again, hitting a lucky jack with ace-jack to end the run of countryman "spider4444".

The overwhelming chip lead became even bigger after disposing of "gusfraba99" in third place. In the final hand, the queen-ten of "Enigmasility" held up against the ten-seven of his opponent "GoMore21" on a ten-high board. "Enigmasility" proved victorious, delivering a massive payday of $262,200.
