As new players joined the table, Martin Paul three-bet to 800 in the cutoff and was quickly four-bet to 3,000 by Oliver Prior on the button.
Paul called to the 10♥6♠A♦ flop, check-calling a bet of 2,500 from Prior. Both players then checked the K♠ turn.
The dealer turned over the 2♣ river, where Paul slid out a bet of 12,000. Prior quickly folded and Paul collected the pot.

Andrei Coca opened to 300 from the cutoff and was called by Martin Paul on the button. Brendan Evans came along in the big blind to see the 8♦7♦5♥ flop.
Evans led out for 600 and both opponents called. The dealer revealed the 2♦ turn, where Evans checked.
Coca fired a bet of 1,100 into the middle, with Paul and Evans tossing in the call. Evans checked again on the K♠ river, with Coca doing the same.
Paul bet 1,300, resulting in a call from Evans and a fold from Coca. Evans showed 10♦8♥ for a pair of eights, good enough to take down the early pot as Paul mucked.

The first of six opening flights begins today at 888poker LIVE Coventry, where Day 1a of the £888 Main Event kicks off at 12 p.m. local time.
Action has been busy this week at Coventry Building Society Arena, with the series already in full swing. That is expected to pick up even more as the Main Event begins with Day 1a. All eyes will be on the £500,000 guaranteed prize pool, with the goal of finding a bag for Saturday's Day 2 the first piece of business on everyone's mind.
Last year, Yiannis Liperis ran over the final table and went on the run of a lifetime to capture the title and £120,000 first-place prize, defeating Charles Chattha in a brief heads-up clash. A total of 672 players packed the tournament room over four starting flights, with Liperis leading the way as the overall Day 1 chip leader. He remained inside the top 10 after Day 2 before ultimately taking down the tournament.
