In two hours from now as of 8 p.m. local time, the most expensive tournament of the 2017 888Live Poker Festival Barcelona will kick off with Day 1 of the €2,200 High Roller at Casino Barcelona. The first of two days of the tournament will feature 10 levels of 45 minutes and a starting stack of 100,000, and the registration will remain open until the start of Day 2 on Thursday at 5 p.m. local time. New entries and re-entries for Day 1 can be done until the end of level eight.
Unlimited re-entries are allowed during the registration period and at least €50,000 in guaranteed prizes will be awarded. Among those expected to join the action is Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi as well as Patrik Antonius, while other notables such as William Kassouf and Ema Zajmovic may also jump in as well.

As of 6 p.m. local time, the €60+6 "The Breeze!" Side Event kicks off with 20,000 in chips and 20 minutes levels. The tournament will be played in an 8-max format, and is scheduled to determine a winner tonight. At least 10 seats for the €1,100 Main Event are up for grabs in the €100+10 Super Satellite one hour later with levels of 20 minutes and a starting stack of 8,000 chips.
