Event #62: The $1,111 Little One for One Drop
Dia 1b Terminado
The first starting flight on Wednesday saw 1,492 entries in total and quite of the few players that didn't bag and tag after Day 1A returned to the tables for Day 1B of the $1,111 Little One for One Drop of the 2014 World Series Of Poker.
Although the 4,756-entry strong field of last year was not reached, the 4,496 entries in total for the 2014 edition represent a very strong turnout. Even more important is the fact that thanks to the $111 contribution per entry, an astonishing $499,056 was raised for the One Drop charity.
A total of 885 players will be returning to the tables in the Amazon and Pavilion room for Day 2 as of 1 p.m. on Friday and still have a shot at the total prize pool of $4,046,400. Play resumes in level nine at blinds 300-600 and a running ante of 75.
The first 468 spots will pay at least $1,780 and the yet-to-be-crowned bracelet winner takes home $637,539.
Cuong Van Nguyen finished on top with 91,000 in the previous night and it seemed unlikely that this number was beaten in the eight levels of 60 minutes each on Day 1B. In the final chip counts however, Franck Yenigotchian appeared with 93,775 chips to claim the overall lead. Among the other chip leaders upon bagging and tagging were Gerald Karlic with 79,500, Maurice Hawkins (65,400), Heinz Kamutzki (64,875), Ray Henson (64,675), Matt Glantz (52,700) and Raymond Chen (50,425).
Other notables also made it through with above-average stacks: Antonio Esfandiari (48,775), Lasse Frost (45,675), Allen Kessler (42,250), Damian Salas (41,200). Annette Obrestad (28,700) and Leo Margets (20,675). The full list of all final chip counts will become available within the next few hours on WSOP.com.
Tune back into the PokerNews live reporting as of 1 p.m. Las Vegas time to see who makes the cut and gets their portion of the prize pool and advances one day further on the way to become the next WSOP champion.

Once Gerald Karlic gets chips, he is usually a huge threat for all opponents and seemingly is at it again. The board was already complete and the Austrian simply put his opponent all in. The latter ended up folding and Karlic is building a tower of chips.

There were about 6,000 in the pot on a river and Alex Rocha was faced with a bet of 3,200. He tanked for a good minute before making the call and got shown for the flush. Rocha is still among the biggest stacks on the second starting flight though.
