Dia 3 Terminado
The penultimate day of the 2023 PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) $1,050 Medium Main Event has finished play. Seventy-nine players started today, and it took only five hours to eliminate all but nine of them. Those nine will return on Day 4 on May 31st to decide who will be crowned SCOOP Main Event champion and be rewarded with the accompanying $600,639.75 first-place payout. However, all of them have already secured a slice of at least $37,540.23 from the $4,206,000 prize pool.
The player that gathered the most chips during Day 3 was Vicente "vicenfish" Delgado. He bagged a massive stack of 117,395,896 chips and has by far the best outlook on the coveted title with his 147 big blinds. Delgado kept his stack in the upper regions of the leaderboard throughout most of the day, but his meteoric rise really started when he cracked Luis "luisnrd" Dorneles' kings with ace-king for a pot worth more than 85 million at the start of the final two tables. After that, he made a few more eliminations and finished the day as the only one with more than 100 million chips.
His closest contender is "bombon73", who plays roughly half the chips of Delgado with a stack of 59,444,107. Meanwhile "rolandinjo" closes out the top three as they will bring 58,912,234 chips into Day 4. Meanwhile, Switzerland's "FAPTOBbIY_BACK" is the absolute short stack with just under six big blinds to play with. Other players who find themselves on the final table include Day 2 chip leader "2ndOnly2God" and Gabriel "aaurelio" Moura.

Of course, a final table could not be reached without many eliminations. Among those who experienced a short Day 3 were Julian "HealTheWorld" Thomas, Niklas "Lena900" Astedt, and Anatoly "NL_Profit" Filatov. Laszlo "omaha4rollz" Bujtas and PokerStars Ambassador Ramon "RamonColillas" Colillas made it further into the day, but bowed out just shy of reaching the final three tables.
When all was said and done, the aforementioned nine finalists gathered on the final table where play was paused. They will resume Day 4 on May 31st at 12:30 p.m. Eastern Time, and they will play as many 25-minute levels as necessary until a winner has been crowned. The blinds will resume in Level 45: 400,000/800,000 with an ante of 100,000.
PokerNews will be present to provide updates as the final table progresses down to the eventual $1,050 SCOOP Main Event champion, so be sure to check back in for the thrilling finale of the iconic online poker festival.

Hand-for-hand play had not begun yet when "blebelea" raised it up from the cutoff to 1,840,000 chips. The action folded to "rolandinjo" in the big blind, who three-bet jammed with the covering stack for 16,188,188 chips effectively. "blebelea" made the call and everyone looked on as the final table bubble could be burst.
"blebelea": A♦Q♠
"rolandinjo": 10♣10♠
One final flip on Day 3 to decide the fate of all players involved. The flop of 9♣8♣5♦ was great for the pocket tens of "rolandinjo", and so was the 3♥ turn. The river fell the deciding 5♥, and "blebelea" would be the last player eliminated on Day 3, falling in tenth place.
The remaining nine players moved onto the final table, but will have to wait for over 18 hours before it will commence on Day 4.

Chip leader Vicente "vicenfish" Delgado opened to 1,656,000 from under the gun, after which "Vocaaas" three-bet to 6,080,000 from the small blind. Delgado relentlessly four-bet all-in when it folded back to him and "Vocaaas" made the call.
"Vocaaas": A♣K♣
Vicente "vicenfish" Delgado: J♦J♣
Another preflop all-in for Delgado, and once again he would emerge victorious when the Q♣5♥4♥7♦8♠ board remained free of aces and kings.
"Vocaaas" was eliminated in 11th place, which means that the ten remaining players are now hand-for-hand as the final table bubble has arrived.

The table folded to "19Dan86" in the small blind and they open-shoved their stack of 17,472,232 into the big blind of Vicente "vicenfish" Delgado. Delgado made the call and "19Dan86" faced the prospect of elimination.
"19Dan86": K♦7♣
Vicente "vicenfish" Delgado: A♥8♣
Delgado had the slightly better hand, and it remained so on the 5♦2♦4♣ flop. The A♣ turn meant that "19Dan86" could only win half the pot if a three hit the river, but it remained absent, and instead the Q♠ appeared.
Another scalp for Delgado, who has stays on top of the leaderboard.

With a flurry of eliminations in three consecutive hands, the final table of nine players has been reached, resulting in the conclusion of Day 3.
Stay tuned to read the final few bust-out hands, as well as updated chip counts of the final nine and a full recap of the day.
The action folded to "moffo13" on the button and they made a raise to 2,000,000. Arsenii "josef_shvejk" Karmatckii was in the big blind and three-bet jammed 18,659,065 once the small blind folded. "moffo13" made the call with the covering stack and the players were both hoping to win the 50 big blinds in the middle in this crucial stage of the tournament.
Arsenii "josef_shvejk" Karmatckii: A♥Q♦
"moffo13": Q♣Q♥
Karmatckii had jammed into pocket queens and now needed an ace to keep his dreams of winning the main event alive. No ace came on the 8♥K♦4♦9♦ runout, but Karmatckii had picked up a flush draw along the way as well. However, the J♥ was not a card that he needed and "moffo13" was victorious in this battle.
Karmatckii exited the tournament and the 12 remaining players were one step closer to the illustrious final table.

The action folded to "3betwizkid" in the small blind, who limped in for 800,000. "Bretera" was in the big blind and raised to 2,800,000 before "3betwizkid" stayed true to their name and did indeed put in the three-bet jam for 22,226,949. Bretera was not going anywhere, however, and swiftly made the call to put their opponent at risk.
"3betwizkid": A♠6♣
"Bretera: A♥J♥
"3betwizkid" had gone for a move, but surely regretted it when the J♦4♥3♠ flop left them with only runner-runner outs to hit. The 3♣ on the turn saw Bretera lock up the victory with their two pair, and they even upgraded to an unnecessary full house on the J♠ river.
Meanwhile, "3betwizkid" took their leave in 14th place.
