Foxen Enters Fray

Nível 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Alex Foxen bet 13,500 into a pot of just over 20,000 with a board reading {5-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{10-Hearts}. His opponent thought for a few moments before laying down his hand and Foxen is chipping up late in the day. Also at his table is Arsenii Karmatckii, who is fresh off his 6th place finish in the 5k NL Hold'em event.

Arne Kern

Arne Kern was in the big blind, facing a raise from the button and a three-bet shove for 18,700 from the small blind. Kern slid a pile of chips in front of him to force the opener out.

Kern would have prefered a high board with {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} versus {j-Clubs}{j-Spades} but he didn't get one as the {8-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{2-Hearts} runout remained safe for the paired hand. Kern doubled his opponent but he still maneuvers a solid stack of around 65,000.

Jacobson Caught Bluffing

Nível 8 : 400/800, 800 ante

By the time the action was picked up, the following hand was about to conclude on a board of {9-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{5-Spades} as Martin Jacobson had raised his opponent's bet out of the small blind. Jacobson had 15,000 in front of him and the other player called.

Jacobson showed {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} for missed straight and flush draws and he had to concede the pot when his opponent rolled over {10-Spades}{9-Spades} for nines up.

Anderson Calls the Clock

Nível 8 : 400/800, 800 ante

With around 20,000 in the pot, Calvin Anderson bet 4,500 from the cutoff on the {9-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{8-Spades} turn. Pavel Veksler called from middle position and the {4-Diamonds} arrived on the river.

Veksler checked again and Anderson moved all in. Veksler asked for a count and it was 19,000.

"I should worry or you should worry," Veksler smiled. He took over two minutes before Anderson himself called the clock. Veskler mucked his hand in the final second of the verbal countdown.

Henson Delivers Knockout

Nível 8 : 400/800, 800 ante

Four players made it to a flop of {k-Clubs}{8-Spades}{9-Clubs}, but only two remained for the turn card as hijack Ray Henson check-called a bet of 3,200 from his neighbor.

The {10-Clubs} turn was checked by both players and Henson fired 10,000 on the {4-Hearts} river. His opponent quickly moved all in for 15,400 and Henson immediately called, holding {6-Clubs}{3-Clubs} for a flush. The other players showed {k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} and tapped the felt, knowing he was eliminated.
