Sam Grafton Eliminated

Nível 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

The tournament has just lost Sam Grafton, the enthusiastic Brit was knocked out in a blind versus blind situation.

The button limped and small blind Sam Grafton shoved for 90,000 or so. Big bind Seth Davies reshoved for 120,000 and the button folded. Grafton had {K-}{Q-} but was up against {K-}{K-}. Grafton flopped some outs on {A-}{J-}{9-} but the cards he was looking for, never came.

Burns and Mo Clash

Nível 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Kahle Burns started proceedings with a raise to 13,000 from the hijack. Jim Andreadis called from the small blind before Jason Mo bumped it up to 47,000 from the big blind. Burns called. Andreadis folded.

The flop came {8-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{a-Spades} and Mo check-called a bet totalling 49,000 from Burns.

The turn brought the {5-Hearts} and Burns slid out 101,000 following a check from Mo. Mo thought for a minute then called.

The {a-Clubs} completed the board and Mo checked for a third time. Burns didn't waste any time announcing all in and committing his 230,000-stack.

Mo went into the tank for several minutes as he deliberated over his decision.

"Sorry this is taking so long," he apologised, as he began to mutter to himself what possible hands Burns could have.

He eventually made up his mind and mucked his hand relinquishing the large pot to Burns.

Set For Tilly

Nível 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Jennifer Tilly checked in the big blind on a board of {j-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{q-Spades} before facing a bet of 30,000. She then opted to check-raise, bumping it up to 110,000. Tilly’s opponent called and they saw the {a-Clubs} arrive on the river.

It went check check on the end and Tilly flipped over {4-Spades}{4-Hearts} for a flopped set.

“Nice hand” said her tablemate with a nod, as the pot was pushed in Tilly’s direction.

Yan Doubles Dixon, Aldemir Busts Chartier

Nível 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

After 10 minutes of relative calm, there is a sudden burst of action with two simultaneous all-ins on two separate tables.

A short stacked Nicholas Dixon moved all in pre-flop for his last 80,000 with {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} with [Removed:17] making the call holding {a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}.

The flop came down {7-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} to keep Dixon in front but the {j-Diamonds} turn shot Yan into the lead. Just as Dixon was standing up to leave the {k-Clubs} hit the river to grant him a double up to 170,000. Yan still has a huge stack and looked to be sitting on 950,000 even after losing the pot to Dixon.

It was Sam Chartier who was the at risk player on the other table. Chartier had moved all-in pre-flop with {a-Hearts}{10-Clubs} with Koray Aldemir making the call with {k-Spades}{j-Spades}.

The {3-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{6-Hearts} flop kept Chartier in front and the {5-Clubs} turn changed nothing, but the {j-Diamonds} sealed Chartier’s fate and he hit the rail in 61st place while Aldemir climbed to 620,000.

Tollerene Doubles Through Burns, Burns Doubles Through Andreadis

Nível 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Kahle Burns
Kahle Burns

As we arrived on Table 26, small blind Ben Tollerene was facing a shove from under the gun player Kahle Burns. The board read {Q-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{K-Spades} and while there appeared to be a little over 100,000 in the pot, the shove was for much more than that. Tollerene tanked for quite some time before he eventually called.

Burns admitted defeat right away; "Good call."

Tolerene showed {K-Clubs}{J-Clubs} and Burns mucked, only to have his hand revealed by the dealer because it was an all-in and a call; {6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}.

The next hand, Burns got his 206,000 in against one-time chipleader Jim Andreadis. The latter had {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs} while Burns showed {K-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}. The board ran out {6-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{J-Clubs} and Burns doubled up.

Bounce Back to Busto for Boskovic

Nível 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Dejan Boskovic has had a rollercoaster of a level but now the ride has come to an end.

After being down to 46,000 he first scored a double up through Joel Douaglin with {k-Hearts}{q-Spades} versus {a-Clubs}{8-Hearts} when he caught a lucky {2-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{k-Clubs} run out.

Moments later, however, Boskovic was storming out of the poker room after being eliminated by Jeff Rossiter. The latter found the nuts with {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts} against Boskovic’s {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades} with the board ultimately showing {k-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{9-Clubs}.

“I guess he doesn’t want his 20k” said Boskovic’s tablemate Steven Swalling, as Boskovic had walked right past the payout desk.

Vijayaram Doubles Through Bantick

Nível 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Stephen Bantick raised to 13,000 from the hijack before Shurane Vijayaram moved all in for 151,000 from the button. Bantick then called after both blinds folded their hands.

Vijayaram: {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}
Bantick: {a-Clubs}{10-Spades}

With the support of his rail close behind him, Vijayaram watched as the board ran out {j-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{8-Clubs} to see him take down the pot with two pair and rise above 300,000 in chips.

Swalling Doubles Through Boskovic

Nível 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

On a board of {10-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{a-Spades} Steven Swalling and Dejan Boskovic committed all their chips into the middle.

Swalling: {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}
Boskovic: {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts}

Swalling was at risk with fewer chips but at least had draws to a flush after both players turned two pair.

"F***!" yelled Boskovic, as the dealer produced the {5-Diamonds} on the river to give Swalling the unlikely flush and winning hand.
