Carter Newhof: {k-Hearts}{q-Spades}{q-Hearts}{5-Hearts}

The flop came {k-Spades}{8-Spades}{4-Hearts} and Newhof picked up a pair of kings. The {j-Hearts} on the turn also gave Newhof a flush draw but the {j-Clubs} on the river ensured Plum of full double up.

Koleno Dodges Everything to Double Up

Nível 27 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha

The action folded to Stanislav Koleno in the small blind who just limped in. Carter Newhof raised the pot to 150,000 in the big blind and Koleno called. The flop came {a-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{3-Diamonds} and the two players quickly got all of their chips in the middle with Koleno at risk for 360,000.

Stanislav Koleno: {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{6-Spades}{5-Clubs}
Carter Newhof: {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}

Koleno was ahead with a set of nines but Newhof had plenty of outs with two over pairs and a flush draw. He also picked up a straight draw on the {q-Clubs} turn card but the {a-Spades} on the river only improved Koleno to a full house.

The action folded around to Mikkel Plum in the small blind who shoved all in for 420,000. Danny Covyn called from the big blind and the hands were tabled.

Mikkel Plum: {k-Diamonds}{8-Spades}
Danny Covyn: {a-Spades}{8-Clubs}

Despite being in a dominated position, Plum flopped the best hand on the {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{7-Spades} flop. The {5-Hearts} on the turn and the {3-Hearts} on the river gave Plum a double up and left Covyn with just 30,000 chips.

On the next hand, Covyn was forced all in from the small blind and was dealt {j-Hearts}{4-Hearts}. He was up against the [{k-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} of Carter Newhof and Covyn was unable to connect with the board as he was eliminated in 10th place.
