Two for Gluszko

Nível 1 : 75/150, 0 ante

On the tail end of a bigger pot, the board showed {J-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{3-Hearts} and there were 3,825 in the middle. Tomasz Gluszko bet as much and James Chen sent his cards into the muck.

In the next hand, Chen opened to 400 first to act and was called by Markus Sturz on the button and Gluszko in the big blind. The {10-Spades}{4-Hearts}{3-Clubs} flop was checked to Chen and he continued for 800, only Gluszko came along. They checked through the {2-Clubs} turn and Gluszko bet the {J-Clubs} river for 1,500.

Chen called and was shown the {K-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{10-Clubs} for the king-high flush by Gluszko. After double-checking his cards, Chen sent them into the muck.

Madsen Arrives and Takes a Hit

Nível 1 : 75/150, 0 ante

Anton Johansson raised the pot to 450 in a battle of the blinds with Dario Alioto and the duo then ended up checking down a board of {J-Clubs}{10-Spades}{8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{K-Clubs}. Johansson announced aces, showed the {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} and Alioto mucked.

One table over, Jeff Madsen had taken a seat a few minutes ago and was involved in a bigger pot already. Out of the big blind, Madsen bet 2,350 on the {K-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{4-Spades} flop and Markus Sturz called on the button. Madsen bet the {7-Hearts} turn for 4,500 and was called, then checked the {4-Diamonds} river. Sturz made it 11,800 to go and Madsen opted to fold.

Michael Soyza and Xixiang Luo just took a seat at the end of the previous level and the latter scored a big double against Lukas Zaskodny. The defending champion called a bet of 16,000 on the {10-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{2-Spades}{8-Diamonds} turn and checked the {A-Hearts} on the river. Luo moved all in and Zaskodny called after brief consideration.

Luo tabled the {J-Spades}{9-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} for the nut straight and Zaskodny mucked {A-Diamonds}{A-Spades}{7-Spades}{2-Clubs} for a set of aces on the river. After paying off Luo for 14,350, Zaskodny was left with around 4,000, just one tenth of the starting stack.
