Time For The Super High Roller To Close The Series

WSOPE The Crowd
WSOPE The Crowd

Welcome to Day 1 of the WSOP Europe Super High Roller which has a buy-in of €25,000. This is the final big event of the series where the players, that are not in the Main Event anymore, have the last chance to win some big money.

The players could see this as a nice way to close their Rozvadov trip out. This is a non-bracelet event but there will be some good prize money that can be won. The expectation is that the players that have played the high roller last week will join the field again today.

The players are starting with 100,000 chips today at 4 p.m. local time with 12 40-minute levels scheduled for today. There is an unlimited amount of entries that can be done and registration will be open until the start of Day 2 which is at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, November 8th.

Please do note that the structure is subject to change by the tournament organization depending on the size of the field. PokerNews will be there from start to end to provide you with all the latest updates.

Change To Structure

The players and tournament organization have agreed to change the structure for today to make this a 1-day tournament.

The levels will be 30 minutes each. They will still start with 100,000 chips but the first level of play will be Level 3 with a small blind of 300, big blind of 600 and a running ante of 100. Late registration is possible for the first 8 levels of play with 1 reentry per player. And there will be a 20-minute break after every four levels.

The tournament will commence soon, we will there from the start for all the action.

Kabrhel Shows a Queen

Nível 1 : 300/600, 100 ante

"I have to be friendly," Martin Kabrhel said after he had just limped in from the small blind and Ali Reza Fatehi checked his option from one seat over in the big blind. The flop fell {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{2-Hearts} and Kabrhel bet 600, Fatehi folded. Kabrhel flashed the {Q-Hearts} for second pair and Fatehi smiled, then replied "that's too much for me."

No Further Than the Turn

Nível 1 : 300/600, 100 ante

Jean-Noel Thorel raised to 1,500 and Max Altergott three-bet to 5,500, forcing folds all around.

Over on the second table, Timothy Adams made it 1,500 to go on the button and Martin Jacobson called. The flop of {J-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{9-Spades} was checked and Jacobson check-folded the {2-Diamonds} turn to a bet of 3,200.

Altergott Bests Kabrhel

Nível 1 : 300/600, 100 ante

In the cutoff, Martin Kabrhel opened to 2,000 and Max Altergott defended his big blind. The flop of {A-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{7-Spades} was checked by Altergott, who then called a bet of 2,400 by Kabrhel. After the {2-Spades} turn, the check of Altergott was followed by a bet of 4,900 of Kabrhel and again Altergott called.

On the {Q-Clubs} river, Altergott checked the third street in a row and Kabrhel bet 15,000. Altergott called to see Kabrhel roll over {A-Clubs}{8-Clubs} for top pair, which the German had beat with {Q-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} for two pair. "Lucky," the German added and the always-talkative Kabrhel nodded, then picked up the table talk again.
