The action resumes today with Day 1B of Event #1: €1,100 No-Limit Hold'Em MONSTER STACK. The World Series of Poker Europe kicked off yesterday inside King's Casino on Day 1A that saw 90 players take to the felt.
Defending champion, Ryan Hefter, bagged an impressive 208,000 but it was Ismael Bojang (268,500) leading the final 15 players at the end of the day. Many notables made an appearance on Day 1A but were unable to move on to Day 2. Those that will likely be back for another shot on Day 1B include Chris Ferguson, John Racener, and Alex Foxen who are all fighting for the Player of the Year title.
The action will begin at 2:00 P.M. and players will start with 20,000 chips. The blinds will start at 25/50 and will be 40-minutes in length. There will be a 20-minute break after every three levels and a 60-minute dinner break after level 8. Late registration will remain open until the beginning of level 9. There will be a total of 14 levels of play with play expected to end at around ~1:30 A.M.

Among the first notables on Day 1b are Sergio Castelluccio, Marc MacDonnell and James Hoeppner. Kunal Patni, Anatoly Korochenskiy, Jaroslav Peter and Lars Kamphues all played on Day 1a and busted to take another shot at the guaranteed prize pool of €500,000 today.

On the same table as fellow Italian Salvatore Camarda, Manlio Iemina took a seat with a book next to his chips. He faced a raise by the player on the button for 150 and opted for the three-bet to 400 from the small blind. The button called and the flop fell . Iemina continued for just 125, but that was already enough to win the pot without further resistance.

According to the screens there are already 72 players registered in the first level of Day 2. Among the biggest names to enter the field recently were Catalin Pop, Andrej Desset, Jose Obadia and Rex Clinkscales. The latter three share the same table and also face Jaroslav Peter there, too.

Sebastian Langrock has taken his seat early in Day 1B. Langrock won a WSOP bracelet earlier this summer in the $1,500 No-Limit Hold'Em/Pot-Limit Omaha - 8 Handed event for $268,555.

Two players limped in, Alexander Schlien and Safet Aradinović, before Lars Kamphues on the button raised to 300. Both Schlien and Aradinović called and the trio checked the flop. On the turn, Schlien bet 400 and that forced out Aradinović, while Kamphues called.
The river was checked and Schlien showed , which Kamphues had beat with for a flush.

The younger brother of Andrej Desset, Dominik, is also participating on Day 1b of the Monster Stack. Andrej's biggest score was a third place in the partypoker LIVE German Poker Championship here at the King's Casino in Rozvadov for € 83,500 and he is looking to follow into the footsteps of Andrej.
Ali Sameeian is a regular at the King's Casino while Stanislav Koleno and Emil Lukac came over from nearby Slovakia. Last but not least, Christopher Back made the trip over from Canada to participate in the World Series of Poker Europe.
