Frankland Finishes Off Johnson

Nível 6 : 300/600, 75 ante

Mathew Frankland put the finishing touches to Kyle Johnson's stack to leave him with a very healthy advantage over November Niner Anton Makiievskyi heads-up.

The two were in the blinds and heads-up to a {7-Spades}{10-Hearts}{5-Hearts} flop, Johnson check-raised the Brit's 1,100 bet up to 3,500 and then called all-in when he faced a shove.

Johnson was ahead with {a-Spades}{10-Hearts} to Frankland's {q-Clubs}{7-Hearts} but the board ran out {k-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} to make trips for his opponent.

Another table had finished with Jeffery Hakim taking through 81,700 tomorrow.

Frankland Beats Johnson

Nível 6 : 300/600, 75 ante

Mathew Frankland raises to 1,200 on his three-handed table and then calls when Kyle Johnson three-bets to 3,100. The flop comes down {8-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{K-Hearts} and Johnson bets 2,225, Frankland calls.

The turn is the {K-Clubs} and both players slow down and check. Which is exactly what they do when the {4-Clubs} lands on the river.

Frankland turns over {A-Diamonds}{8-Spades} and Johnson mucks.

Hastings Wins Huge Three-Way All In

Nível 6 : 300/600, 75 ante

We did not see the preflop action but it became apparent that Brian Hastings, Stephen Chidwick and Gabrielle Nassif were all in, Chidwick covering his opponents.

Chidwick{A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}
Hastings{A-Spades}{K-Spades}
Nassif{J-Diamonds}{J-Spades}

Nassif looked set to help himself to a huge pot especially when the flop came down {3-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{10-Hearts} but the {K-Hearts} on the turn catapulted Hastings into the lead. The {2-Spades} on the river completed the hand and sent most of the massive pot in the direction of hastings, who now has over 30,000 chips, whilst Nassif has close to 17,000.

Silver and Reinkemeier Progress

Nível 6 : 300/600, 75 ante

Max Silver and Tobias Reinkemeier both won their heads-up battles within seconds of each other to progress to tomorrow with 81,900 and 81,700 respectively.

Silver had Michel Leibgorin down to a bowl of rice and managed to double him up once before his {j-Spades}{9-Clubs} overcame the Frenchman's {q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} on a {9-Hearts}{a-Spades}{k-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} board.

Reinkemeier meanwhile defeated Hasan Anter when his {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} stayed ahead of the Swede's {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds} on a {a-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} board. Anter was down to his last 18,500 at the beginning of the hand.

Stout Counterfeited On The River?

Nível 6 : 300/600, 75 ante

On a flop reading {6-Spades}{10-Hearts}{K-Spades}, John Eames checks from the big blind position, Matt Stout bets 2,000 from the cutoff, Chad Brown calls on the button and Eames gets out of the way.

The dealer places the {J-Spades} on the turn and Stout greets it with a bet of 4,600, a bet that Brown watses no time in calling. The river is the {J-Hearts} and Stout leans over to check the size of Brown's stack, leans back and checks. Brown bets a pile of yellow chips and Stout angrily tosses his cards in the air, revealing {10-Clubs}{6-Clubs}, saying it was a sick river. Eames said he thought the check on the river meant Stout had been counterfeited. Brown picks up the pot.

Toth Won't Show Alibay

Nível 6 : 300/600, 75 ante

Richard Toth raises to 1,200 and Ami Alibay three-bets to 3,500. Toth pauses before moving all in, covering Alibay by a large amount of chips.

"Will you show if I fold?" asks Alibay but Toth remains stoic.

After around one minute Alibay folds and shows {A-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} but Toth mucks.

"I never show, sorry, " apologises Toth but he did tell his opponent that he held an ace.

Dempsey Backed Josephy in the corner

Nível 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

James Dempsey has defeated Cliff Josephy heads-up to take 74,600 through to round two.

He told us that Josephy ran well heads-up but (crucially) ran bad in all the larger three-bet pots. The American was down to 20 big blinds when raise called it off with king-nine. He admitted it was a frustration call and must've been even more frustrated when he saw that Dempsey had ace-king, which held.

Doctor Slaughters Lamb

Nível 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

The action is on David "Doc" Sands and he raises to 850. Next to act is Ben Lamb and he makes it 2,500 to play. Back on Sands and he takes his initial bet back, replacing it with five yellow 1,000 chips. Lamb then pauses and moves all in and Sands quickly calls.

Sands{6-Hearts} {6-Clubs}
Lamb{A-Diamonds} {3-Clubs}

Board: {3-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{2-Hearts} and Lamb is out of Event #3.
