Day 1a of Event #74: The Little One for One Drop - $1,000 +111 No-Limit Hold'em has ended. The remaining 117 players will return Friday at 2 p.m. in the Miranda room at the Rio and merge with the players from Day 1b and Day 1c. Day 2 play will go for 10.5 levels with 15-minute break after every two levels. Players will also enjoy a 60-minute dinner break at about 8:30 p.m.

Ken 'Teach' Aldridge of the United States ended Day 1a as the chip leader with 199,000, but as there are two more Day 1s so the could shift before Day 2. Close behind Aldridge are Lawrence Engerman of the United States with 183,400 and Mark Jun from the United States with 181,200.

Other notables returning to Day 2 include recent bracelet winner Tom Koral (22,200) Adam Owen (92,800), Joe Elpayaa (75,600), Ray Henson (58,500), and Brian Hastings (16,800).

Jason Mercier (91,000), David 'ODB' Baker (59,300), Thomas Taylor (57,100), and Mike Leah (14,300) bagged for Day 2, and all four players are also playing in the Main Event Day 2c on Wednesday. If everything goes right they will be multi-tabling the two events on Friday.

The event attracted 687 entries with two more Day 1s to go that will add to the prize pool. Day 1b starts at 3 p.m. on Wednesday and is a $1,000 buy-in for 5,000 chips. Players can elect to give a $111 donation to One Drop and receive an extra 5,000 chips on top of their starting stack.
