Schumacher Ends the Night Right

Nível 10 : 500-1,000, 100 ante

Terry Schumacher was in the cutoff and raised to 2,500. the button called, as well as the small blind and big blind.

The flop was {6-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{7-Hearts} and the small blind led for 5,000. The big blind folded and Schumacher raised to 12,000. The button folded and the small blind called.

The turn was the {2-Spades} and the small blind checked. Schumacher moved all in covering the small blind who tanked. After a couple of minutes a clock was called and the small blind put the rest of her chips in. Schumacher tabled {6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} and the small blind showed {4-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}.

The river was the {9-Diamonds} and Schumacher goes into Day 2 in a much more comfortable position.

Owen Holds to Double Up

Nível 10 : 500-1,000, 100 ante

Adam Owen went heads up to a flop of {J-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}, and the big blind checked to Owen, who fired out 2,100. His opponent went for the check raise to 5,200, and Owen thought for about a minute before he moved all in.

His opponent went into the tank for a while, never looking too comfortable about the decision. He asked for a count, and it was 28,900 total. Eventually he called, and told Owen, "you're ahead," when he saw Owen's hand.

Owen: {A-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}
Opponent: {8-Hearts}{6-Hearts}

The {5-Clubs} on the turn was great for Owen, as an eight was no longer good for his opponent. The river gave him a sweat, but it was the {9-Spades}, securing the double up for him to 65,000.

Hustad Knocks out Legrand in a Cooler

Nível 10 : 500-1,000, 100 ante

Osvaldo Legrand got it all in pre-flop for his remaining stack of roughly 32,000 against Greg Hustad who had him well covered.

Greg Hustad: {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}
Osvaldo Legrand: {a-}{a-}

The flop was {j-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} looking good for Legrand who had just tripled up 20-minutes earlier. The turn was painful, however when the {k-Diamonds} hit the board. The river bricked off the {7-Spades} and unfortunately for Legrand, he wasn't able to hold when he needed to the most.
