Konstas Chips Up Against Berger

Nível 29 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

IIoannis Angelou Konstas raised to 160,000 from the button and Paul Berger three-bet to 315,000 from the small blind. Konstas asked for a count on the remaining stack of Berger and called. Both players checked the {Q-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{2-Spades} flop and Berger continued for 300,000 on the {Q-Spades} turn, which Konstas called.

The {4-Clubs} river was checked through and Berger briefly showed his cards, then mucked when Konstas showed {A-Spades}{J-Spades} as winning hand.

Forgione Busts to Ector

Nível 29 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

After a raise by Benjamin Ector, Nick Forgione moved all in and received a quick call.

Nick Forgione: {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}
Benjamin Ector: {K-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}

The {K-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{5-Clubs} flop left Forgione in desperate shape and he was drawing dead on the {A-Clubs} turn, making the {A-Diamonds} river a formality. Forgione was eliminated in 26th place and the remaining players will redraw to the last three tables after the next elimination.

Yu Chips Up

Nível 29 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

Alexandru Papazian placed a bet of 90,000 on the button and was then reminded that the big blind was 80,000, so it was ruled as a call. "It's too early," joked Papazian. Ben Yu in the big blind checked and then called a bet worth 100,000 on the {K-Spades}{7-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} flop. Both players then checked the {Q-Hearts} turn before Yu bet the {5-Spades} river for 200,000.

Papazian called and Yu showed {K-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} to win the pot.

Phillips Busts in First Hand

Nível 29 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

The very first hand of Day 3 saw Michael Phillips open-shove from the second position and the action stopped at big blind Randy Pfeifer who threw in the calling chips.

Michael Phillips: {A-Spades}{5-Spades}
Randy Pfeifer: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}

The {5-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} board brought too little for Phillips who departed in 28th place.
