Fasten your seat belts and start your engines! Event #58: $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em gets things going today at 11 a.m. as the 2017 World Series of Poker races forward.
When play commences today, players will play ten 60-minute levels and get a 20-minute break every two levels. Dinner break will take place after Level 6, around 5:40 p.m., and will be 90 minutes long. Players will be given 7,500 in chips to use at their discretion while battling their way towards the coveted WSOP gold bracelet.
Last year David Peters won one of the later $1,500 NLHE events on the summer schedule. Peters won his first WSOP bracelet, carving his way through a field of 1,860 players to take home $412,557. Peters has already cashed three times this summer, too, and may well be back here to defend his title, so keep locked in to see if we get another WSOP repeat champion.
This year, three events of this type have already taken place. David "The Dragon" Pham won Event #12, besting a field of 1,739 players to take home his third WSOP bracelet and $391,960. Then in Event #24, Shane Buchwald tore through a field of 616 entries for his first WSOP victory and $177,985. More recently in Event #33, Chris Frank was able to grind his way through, topping a field of 1,698 players to take home $384,833 for his efforts.

With about 1,100 in the pot and the board reading , Francisco Navarro was in the small blind and led out for 400. Michael Moore was in middle position and called as did a player in the cutoff.
The river was the and Navarro led again but for 1,200 this time. Moore's face told it all as he begrudgingly called and the other opponent in the cutoff folded.
Navarro tabled , having made an aces full of sevens boat on the river. Moore showed for a smaller boat after flopping a set, and Navarro nabbed the pot.
Ken Aldridge is also at this table and commented on how well Moore and Navarro are playing thus far. He said,"Moore has my number today. I make a hand and he has a better one." Aldridge is one of the classiest most enjoyable players around the scene and everyone can spot him a mile away, always wearing his trade mark yellow colors.
