Day 1 of Event #41: $1,500 Pot-Limit Omaha attracted a field of 870 players. The day concluded with 138 players remaining, seven from the money, as the top 131 get paid a minimum of $2,249. First place will be $231,483 accompanied by the prestigious WSOP gold bracelet.
The chip leader going into Day 2 is Chun Law, who bagged 179,100. Law won a massive pot against Jeff Williams towards the end of the day which vaulted him to the top of the leaderboard. Law is followed closely by Kyle Knecht, who bagged 148,400, and Philip Hayes, who bagged 139,000.
Some of the other notables and big stacks remaining are Toby Lewis (125,200), David Williams (71,700), TJ Cloutier (52,500), Thomas Taylor (45,100), Joe Cada (29,900), Jeff Lisandro (25,000) and defending champion Jiaqi Xu (10,200).
Phil Hellmuth, John Racener, Benny Glaser, Anthony Zinno, Michael Mizrachi, Barry Greenstein, Brandon Shack-Harris, Jonathan Duhamel, Joe Serock and Jason Mercier all played and busted on the day.
The players will return Thursday at noon local time and continue to play another 10 60-minute levels. The Day 2 survivors will return for Day 3 when they will play until a champion has been crowned.

The clock has just been paused and the tournament director announced that each table will play three more hands.
If at that point the field has 133 players left and is two players away from the money, all tables will play hand for hand until the bubble has burst.
Jeff Williams raised to 2,500 on the button and Chun Law defended from the big blind.
On the flop, Law checked to Williams who bet 3,500. Law check-raised to 11,000 total and Williams called.
Law checked again on the turn and Williams bet the pot for 27,500 total. Law came back with another check-raise, this time all in for 46,300 more. Williams counted out some chips and eventually made the call.

It was folded around to the small blind, who limped in, and Yevgeniy Timoshenko checked his option from the big blind.
The small blind led out for 1,600 on the flop, and Timoshenko called. On the turn, the small blind bet 4,100. Timoshenko thought for a bit before he went all in for 2,200 more. The small blind folded, and Timoshenko took down the pot.

It was folded around to TJ Cloutier in the small blind, who raised to 2,200, and the big blind defended.
On the flop, Cloutier checked, and his opponent bet 2,000. Cloutier immediately announced, "Pot," for a raise to 10,400 total, and the big blind quickly folded.
Cloutier flashed an ace as he took down the pot.
