The Magic of "Chufty"

[user38873] • Nível 10: 1,000-2,000, 0 ante

Seven-Card Stud

Opponent: {3-Hearts}{2-Hearts} / {8-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{6-Clubs} / {X-}
Richard Ashby: {7-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} / {6-Spades}{10-Spades}{3-Clubs}{K-Diamonds} / {X-}

Towards the end of the day, Richard "Chufty" Ashby showed some magic while Pete Linton walked over to see if the fellow Brit had more chips. Ashby did, but that was partly due to a hand that saw him bust a short stack with a low and ace-king high at the death.

A third player was in the hand as well but folded on fifth street when Ashby raised to force a fold. The player at risk had a low and four-card flush, but would end up with dust as Ashby spiked the {A-Clubs} on seventh for a better low. A blank {9-Spades} was the ultimate brick and Ashby won the high hand with ace-king only.

Dickson Destroying

• Nível 10: 1,000-2,000, 0 ante

Limit Hold'em

Adam Dickson raised from middle position, the next player to act three-bet, DIckson capped it and was called.

On the {Q-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{4-Clubs} flop Dickson bet-called his opponent's raise.

On the {6-Hearts} turn Dickson checked, his opponent bet with 400 in chips behind, Dickson threw out 2,500 in chips to try and put his opponent all in but Allyn Shulman pointed out that it wasn't a legal raise so it was ruled a call as Dickson said "Don't write this hand up".

The river was the {4-Spades} and Dickson check-called his opponent's shove. Dickson showed {A-Clubs}{5-Hearts} which beat his opponent's {K-Hearts}{J-Hearts} and Dickson continued to build his chip lead.

Opponent 2: {X-}{X-} / {9-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{J-Diamonds} fold

Ted Forrest was awaiting his fate after being all in already while Adam Dickson took on two opponents. One of them was betting all the way on fourth and fifth street while Dickson and the fourth player in the hand called. On sixth street, Dickson bet and was called by just one player before the same happened again on seventh street.

Dickson rolled over {2-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{2-Spades} for a full house and Forrest took the low pot with {Q-Clubs}{7-Spades}{2-Clubs}, the big side pot was also srnt over to Dickson who established himself at the top of the counts. Forrest was all in the next hand and earned another double with a low split-pot to remain in contention before bowing out shortly after.

Last Level of the Night

According to the screens, there are 216 players remaining out of the 736-entry field, and they are currently in their last level of the night. At the end of the level, the survivors will bag and tag, and it remains unlikely that the money will be reached tonight. Only the final 111 players will receive a portion of the prize pool.
