Bilinsky Hammers the River

Nível 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Chris Bilinsky raised in early positon before the hijack made the call. Zhi Yang was in the cutoff and put in a three-bet to 4,500, which both Bilinsky and the hijack called.

The dealer spread a flop of {a-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{3-Clubs} and the action checked to Yang who continued for 4,100. Both Bilinsky and the hijack stuck around.

The {10-Clubs} hit the turn and all three players checked to see the {q-Hearts} on the river.

Bilinsky fired out a healthy-sized bet of 15,000, forcing the hijack out quickly and Yang went into the tank. About a minute passed before Yang pushed his cards forward, surrendering the pot.

Hayes Around 250,000 After Delivering Brutal Bustout

Nível 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante
PT Hayes
PT Hayes

PT Hayes opened to 1,600 and was three-bet by his opponent to 5,200. Hayes four-bet to 22,000 and was called.

The flop came {a-Hearts}{a-Spades}{6-Hearts} and Hayes continued for 60,000. His opponent, with 65,000 behind, moved all in and Hayes threw in the extra red chip.

Opponent: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}
PT Hayes: {k-Hearts}{k-Spades}

Hayes was very far behind and could only be saved by running hearts.

However, the board ran out {10-Hearts}{2-Hearts} to stun the table and give Hayes the huge win and taking his stack to just under 250,000 while his opponent was eliminated, astonished by the blow he had been dealt.

Magnus Cannot Beat Ladies

Nível 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante
Nadya Magnus
Nadya Magnus

A player opened to 1,500 from middle position and was called by the cutoff as well as Nadya Magnus out of the big blind.

Both Magnus and the middle position player checked on a flop of {6-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}. The cutoff led out for 1,800 and received calls from both of his opponents.

The {9-Spades} turn saw Magnus and the middle position player check for a second time. Not dissuaded by getting two callers on the flop, the cutoff pushed a chunkier 5,500 into the middle. It was not enough to shed either of his opponents, however, both of whom called.

Action checked through the {3-Diamonds} river and Magnus showed down {a-Clubs}{9-Hearts}. She was beaten to the pot by the middle position player who tabled {q-Hearts}{q-Spades} to scoop the pot and send Magnus down below 50,000.

Top Pair Good for Hachem

Nível 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

The heads-up action was picked up with around 6,500 in the pot and a board of {6-Spades}{9-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} on the table.

Both players checked through the turn card, leading to the {8-Clubs} river. Joe Hachem, in early position, fired for 4,000. After a minute or so of thought, his opponent, on the button, made the call. Hachem turned over {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts} for top pair, and his opponent tossed his cards into the muck.

While it may not have been the Day 1 that the 2005 Main Event Champion had been hoping for, with his stack below where it started, he remains in the running.
