Play has ended in Flight 1c of Event #68: $1,000 Million Dollar Bounty No-Limit Hold’em at Ballys and Paris in Las Vegas. A field of 4,269 was brought down to 232 after 22 levels of play and those players will combine with all the survivors of the other flights on July 5.

Among the leaders of the flight was WSOP bracelet winner Joseph Cheong who bagged 2,415,000 when the dust settled. Cheong is no stranger to the WSOP with deep runs recorded in fields dating back over a decade. With $16,206,161 in recorded earnings, the Las Vegas resident has now secured himself his fifth cash of the 2022 WSOP, putting himself in a prime position to collect many bounties and hunt for a second bracelet.

Bagging right behind him was tablemate David McGowan who bagged 2,265,000 after a swingy final few levels. With two levels left, he sat with only six big blinds, but a late night surge saw the Chicago native rise through the ranks and seat near the top. McGowan is also securing his fifth cash of the series, looking for the first piece of WSOP gold as well as plenty of bounties.

Other players that found their way to bags at the end of the day included Christoph Vogelsang (1,075,000), Harry Lodge (685,000), WSOP bracelet winners Barry Greenstein (625,000), Dan Zack (485,000), Joey Weissman (340,000), Elio Fox (320,000) and WSOP Circuit Ring Winner Josh Reichard (300,000).

Many players found themselves falling on the wrong side of the bubble, including Fedor Holz, Justin Bonomo, Ray Henson, Phil Hellmuth, and Adrian Mateos. The bubble was burst by four players including Arash Toofan and Anthony Potis. After all of the players were guaranteed a minimum of $1,061 and players like Noah Schwartz, Martin Jacobson, Mike Gorodinsky, and Sarah Stefan all secured themselves a cash.

The combined field of 825 players will return to Paris at 1 p.m. on July 5 with blinds returning at 20,000-40,000 with a 40,000 big blind ante. The blinds will be upped to 40 minutes each with a 15-minute break after every three levels. Players will play a full 17 levels or down to five players, whichever comes first. McGowan Finishes Strong

Nível 22 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

David McGowan was seen busting two players in a row.

First, he opened in early position, and Jonathan Ingalls called from the big blind. Then, on a {6-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{7-Clubs} flop, Ingalls check-raised a 50,000 continuation-bet to 500,000. McGowan called.

Jonathan Ingalls: {8-Spades}{5-Spades}
David McGowan: {a-Clubs}{5-Clubs}

The {q-Diamonds} turn and {10-Clubs} river finally gave a flush for McGowan. Ingalls was eliminated.

On the very next hand, McGowan was first to act, he raised and Sebastian Lobo shoved for 200,000. McGowen called.

Sebastian Lobo: {5-Hearts}{5-Clubs}
David McGowan: {a-Clubs}{7-Clubs}

The board ran {10-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{2-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{8-Clubs} an McGowan made a backdoor flush to eliminate another player.

Le Cracks Sfez's Kings

Nível 22 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Truc Le opened to 50,000 in early position, and Clint Mooney moved all in for 160,000. Just after him, Lucas Sfez also moved all in, but for more than a million. When action was back on Le, he decided to called for his last 300,000.

Clint Mooney: {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs}
Truc Le: {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}
Lucas Sfez: {k-Clubs}{k-Spades}

The dealer unrolled a {10-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{9-Spades} board and Le made a set on this flop. Sfez was disgusted to have his ings cracked but he's still got a lot of chips. For Mooney, his tournament is over.

Baze K.O. In Round 21

Nível 21 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

In the second last level, Stephen Baze was just involved in a pot where Lucas Sfez opened the cutoff to 50,000 and Baze flatted from the button. The small blind then moved all in for 70,000 and the big blind let his hand go before Sfez and Baze called.

Sfez and Baze then checked down on the {q-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{k-Spades}{k-Hearts} run out.

The all in short stack showed {j-Clubs}{9-Clubs} that didn't get there and Baze's {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} was good against Sfez's holding.
