Day 3 of Event #27: $1,500 Shootout No-Limit Hold'em is slated for a 12 p.m. local time restart at the 2022 World Series of Poker in its new home at Bally's and Paris Las Vegas.
Day 3 will feature the final table, consisting of the ten players who were fortunate enough to win their tables on Day 2 and bag their chips. This field of ten will return with their eyes on the first place prize of $240,480 and a coveted WSOP bracelet. For Kevin Song it would be his second bracelet, having previously won the 1997 $2,000 Limit Hold'em event for a first place prize of $397,120. For the rest of the field, a win today would be their first WSOP bracelet. For Derek Sudell, this is his second final table of the 2022 WSOP, as he finished 5th in Event #14: $1,500 6-Handed No-Limit Hold'em for a cash of $109,083.
Play will begin at 12 p.m. local time, with blinds starting at 15,000/30,000 with a 30,000 big blind ante. Levels will last 40 minutes, with a 15 minute break after every third level. The time of the dinner break is to be determined. Play will continue until there is a winner!

The final table of the shootout is officially underway.
David Dowdy opened from middle position for 60,000. Roongsak Griffeth put in the call from the cutoff before Derek Sudell raised to 260,000 from the button. Dowdy made the call before Griffeth got out of the way, giving heads-up action to the flop.
The flop was checked through, as was the turn.
On the river, Dowdy fired for 150,000. Sudell thought for a moment before making the call. Dowdy turned over , good for running trips. Sudell tossed his hand in the muck and Dowdy scooped an early pot at the final table.

Austin Peck limped the small blind and Ravi Raghavan checked his option in the big blind.
The flop came . Both players checked.
On the turn, Peck led for 45,000 and Raghavan made the call.
When the river came, Peck checked. Raghavan seized the opportunity and bet 130,000 on the scary board. Peck folded after some thought and Raghavan took down the pot.

David Yonnotti opened from under the gun for 60,000. He received calls from Ravi Raghavan and Roongsak Griffeth, in the small and big blinds respectively.
Yonnotti fired for another 70,000 on the flop. Raghavan got out of the way before Griffeth put in a raise to 200,000. Yonnotti made the call.
After Griffeth checked in the dark, Yonnotti checked back the turn. On the river, Yonnotti fired his biggest barrel yet, for 270,000. After a few minutes of thought, Griffeth found the call. Yonnotti turned over , good for top pair. Griffeth tossed his hand in the muck as Yonnotti scooped the pot.

This summer, Golden Nugget Las Vegas will play host to the 14th Annual Grand Poker Series, which features 81 events and offers over $3 million in guaranteed prize money from May 31-July 3. One of those events is the $1,100 buy-in, $1,000,000 Guaranteed PokerNews Cup that will run from June 24-28.
The tournament will feature three starting flights beginning with Day 1a at 11 a.m. PT on Friday, June 24. Days 1b and 1c will take place at the same time on Saturday, June 25, and Sunday, June 26 respectively. The surviving players from each flight will return at Noon on Monday, June 27 to play down to the final table, which will play out at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, June 28.
