Somerville Doubles Up Early

Nível 11 : 1,500/2,500, 0 ante

Jason Somerville raised it up from the cutoff and Even Melgaard defended from the big blind. The flop came {j-Spades}{9-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} and Melgaard check-called a bet from Somerville.

On the {a-Clubs} turn, Melgaard checked again and Somerville moved all in for 4,000. Melgaard called and the cards were tabled. Somerville held {j-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} for two pair while Melgaard had {k-Clubs}{8-Spades} for a straight draw. The {q-Diamonds} on the river changed nothing and Somerville held on for a double up.
