Day 2 of Event #38: $50,000 High Roller No-Limit Hold’em 8-Handed will begin shortly with 21 players who bagged chips in Day 1, along with any players who register before the late registration period ends at the start of the day. This high roller event promises to continue to see action from some of the best in the game at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino.

Michael Addamo (5,150,000) and Erik Seidel (3,730,000) will resume play with the two largest stacks by a sizable margin. Addamo tops the Australian all time money list with more than 14 million in career tournament earnings and will be attempting to add to that list and his two WSOP bracelets, while Seidel will be looking to continue adding to his stack today in an effort that he hopes will ultimately result in his tenth bracelet.

Other notables who have bagged a stack for Day 2 include Dan Smith (1,085,000), Seth Davies (430,000), Gal Yifrach (1,405,000), Stephen Chidwick (355,000), and Anthony Zinno (400,000), who has already won two bracelets during the 2021 WSOP.

Smiljkovic Picks Up Aces to Triple in First Hand of Day

Nível 11 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Daniel Smiljkovic
Daniel Smiljkovic

Stephen Chidwick jammed in his stack of 355,000 from middle position, Johan Guilbert called from the small blind, and Daniel Smiljkovic called from the big blind for his remaining 180,000.

Daniel Smiljkovic: {a-Hearts}{a-Spades}
Stephen Chidwick: {k-Clubs}{q-Spades}
Johan Guilbert: {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}

Smiljkovic found perhaps one of the easiest decisions of his life in the big blind of the first hand of the day and was looking to triple.

The board ran out {k-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds} to give Smiljkovic the triple and keep Chadwich around the same number of chips as he won the side pot.

Smith Busts Seiver

Nível 11 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Scott Seiver in the small blind went all-in for around 255,000 and Dan Smith in the big blind called.

Scott Seiver: {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}
Dan Smith: {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}

Seiver was dominated and needed help from the board. He jumped up in excitement when he saw the {j-Clubs} on the {2-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{j-Clubs} flop, but couldn't get there after the {6-Spades}{j-Diamonds} runout.

David Coleman: {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}

Grafton Eliminated in Painful Fashion

Nível 11 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Sam Grafton
Sam Grafton

Sam Grafton in the big blind was involved in a three-way all-in against Bin Weng in the cutoff and Chris Hunichen in the hijack, with Grafton being the shortest stack with about 250,000.

Sam Grafton: {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}
Bin Weng: {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}
Chris Hunichen: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}

The flop of {6-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} hit both Grafton and Hunichen in a massive way, giving Grafton top set and giving Hunichen the nut flush draw. But it was Weng who ended up scooping the pot as the board ran out {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} to give him a set of jacks, and Grafton hit the rail in miserable fashion.
