Radanov Chopped Up In Two Million Chip Pot

Nível 31

Big O

The pots are getting huge with seven players remaining.

Hernan Salazar raised in early position to 150,000 and got calls from Lance Sobelman and Damjan Radanov.

Salazar led right out for 600,000 on the {3-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{7-Clubs} flop. Sobelman went all-in for his last 730,000, and Radanov called behind, building an over two-million chip pot.

Radanov and Salazar checked the {7-Diamonds} turn and {a-Clubs} river.

Lance Sobelman: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{2-Clubs}
Damjan Radanov: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}{4-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}
Hernan Salazar: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{6-Spades}{4-Hearts}

Salazar claimed the low half of the pot with a rivered six-low, while Sobelman survived with his sevens full of deuces for high.

Radanov's low was counterfeited on the river, and he was left in the cold as his opponents raked in his chips.

Michael Lim

Big O

Ryan Roeder raised to 240,000 and Michael Lim got his last 260,000 in from the big blind. Ryan Roeder called.

Michael Lim: {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{4-Hearts}
Ryan Roeder: {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{q-Spades}{j-Clubs}{4-Spades}

The flop came out {7-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} and Lim flopped a full house but Roeder had four queens. The turn was {6-Spades} and river {2-Spades} but they didn't matter and Lim was eliminated from the tournament in eighth place.

Salazar Remains Active, Lim on Fumes

Nível 31

Limit Omaha 8 or Better

Hernan Salazar had recently given back some of his chips and was back close to 4,000,000. That is until he dragged a big pot that left Michael Lim on a very short stack.

Ryan Roeder raised in early position to 240,000 and got calls from Lim in middle position, Salazar in the small blind, and Lance Sobelman in the big blind.

With nearly a million in the pot already, the four players all checked the {4-Spades}{6-Spades}{6-Hearts} flop, but on the {q-Spades} turn, Salazar came out firing for 240,000. Sobelman and Roeder folded, but Lim came along to see a river with just one big bet left.

Salazar bet the {3-Clubs} river and Lim bemoaned his low being counterfeited before folding to save his last 200,000 chips.

Nível 31

Pot-Limit Omaha 8 or Better

Ryan Roeder raised to 210,000 from middle position and Scott Abrams called from the big blind.

The flop was {2-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{a-Clubs} and Abrams checked. Roeder bet the pot and Abrams got the rest of his stack in to be at risk for 625,000. Roeder called and turned over {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}. Abrams showed {a-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}.

The turn was {7-Spades} and the river was {q-Clubs}. Players split the high pot with aces and twos, but Abrams takes the low with his three-eight.

Salazar Stretches Lead, Abrams Frustrated

Nível 31
Hernan Salazar
Hernan Salazar

Hernan Salazar has taken firm control of the table with another big pot.

He went to a {k-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{9-Spades} flop in the cutoff versus Ryan Roeder in the small blind and Scott Abrams in the hijack.

The players all checked the flop, then on a {2-Spades} turn, Salazar bet 300,000 when checked to. Both his opponents called to see the {k-Spades} fall on the river.

Roeder and Abrams again checked to Salazar who bet 600,000, which covered Abrams and nearly covered Roeder.

Roeder folded and Abrams went deep into the tank, verbally trying to figure out the hand.

"I don't understand, I'm confused." Abrams said as he contemplated a call for his tournament life.

"Can you just bluff two people? Probably." He continued.

Abrams apologized to the table for his time making the decision, then ultimately folded.

After Abrams' cards hit the muck Salazar said, "It's very simple. King-deuce"

Abrams expressed doubt in Salazar's claim, saying he had a deuce, which would make it more difficult for Salazar to hold one himself.

Regardless, Salazar now has a massive chip lead and Abrams is on a short stack.

Salazar Seeing Flops

Nível 30

Big O

With the biggest stack at the table, Hernan Salazar has begun a regular strategy of limping into pots and calling raises from his opponents.

A recent example came when he limped in early position for 50,000, then called a raise to 150,000 from Damjan Radanov in late position.

The players checked the {7-Spades}{q-Spades}{5-Hearts} flop, then on the {7-Diamonds} turn, Salazar led out for 300,000. Radanov quickly folded.

Several pots have become limped affairs thanks to Salazar's recent strategy, so we'll have to see if it leads to some multi-way madness at some point.
