Filippos Stavrakis is the chip leader at the end of Day 2 of Event #26: $1,000 Pot-Limit Omaha. After two full days of playing, the field has been narrowed down from 986 to 14 players. All players that return tomorrow are guaranteed to bank $7,446, but the first-place prize of $169,842 and the elusive gold WSOP awaits the winner on Thursday, June 14.

The day started with exactly 100 players left and opened with a flurry of bustouts. One of the first players to exit the field was Dutch bracelet winner Marcel Vonk (98th - $1,658). The other four bracelet winners left in the field also didn't make it: Ken Aldridge (78th - $1,962), Joe Cada (75th - $1,962), Adrian Buckley (72nd - $2,190) andCalen McNeil (71st - $2,190) all got eliminated in the early stages of the day.

Other notable players that didn’t make it through to Day 3 were Christian Harder (92nd - $1,658), Martin Finger (59th - $2,485), Ioannis Angelou Konstas (40th - $3,363) andShannon Shorr (29th - $4,008). Chipleader at the start of the day, Trinidadian Ryan Goindoo, busted out shortly before the end of the night. Goindoo finished in 18th place, earning himself $5,965.

While Filippos Stavrakis is holding the chip lead, he is closely followed by Ruslan Dykshteyn (767,000) and Pascal Damoi (632,000). Brazilian star Felipe Ramos might be known for his no-limit prowess, he's showing his talent in Pot-Limit Omaha as well as he sits in fourth with 450,000 chips.

Stavrakis started the day with 141,500 in chips and it seemed that the only was up for him. There was one big pot halfway through the day where Stavrakis got up to 675,000. He made the absolute nuts on the river and check-raised to extract full value from Uri Reichenstein, who eventually busted in 27th place, cashing for $4,852.

Day 3 will continue on Thursday, June 14, at 12 p.m. local time. They will play down to a winner and action can be followed from start to finish on PokerNews.
