Event #21: $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em MILLIONAIRE MAKER

Dia 4 Começado

Hahn Leads Final 17 Players into MILLIONAIRE MAKER Day 4, McKeehen Eyeing Third Bracelet

Chad Hahn

Just 17 players will return for Day 4 action in Event #21: $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em MILLIONAIRE MAKER at 11:00 a.m. local time. Each player has locked up a payday of at least $51,188, but all eyes are on the top prize of $1,173,223 and WSOP gold bracelet.

Leading the way is Chad Hahn with 6,525,000 chips. Hahn won a key pot late on Day 3 when he turned a set of queens against James Mackey's aces for a huge double-up. But his lead is a narrow one; Sean Marshall bagged 6,160,000 chips at the conclusion of Day 3 play.

Furthermore, with Ralph Massey (4,435,000), Justin Liberto (3,337,000), Manig Loeser (3,040,000), Barny Boatman (1,150,000), and 2015 Main Event champion Joe McKeehen (4,210,000) still in the hunt, the path to victory won't be easy for anybody. McKeehen is looking to become the second Main Event winner to score a third career bracelet this summer after Joe Cada took down Event #3: $3,000 No-Limit Hold'em Shootout.

Blinds will be 50,000/100,000 with a 5,000-chip ante when play resumes at Level 31. The remainder of the field is scheduled to play down to a winner today.

Liberto Gets Value

Nível 31 : 50,000/100,000, 15,000 ante

With about 800,000 chips already in the middle and the board reading {10-Spades}{5-Spades}{4-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{7-Spades}, Manuel Ruivo checked from the small blind to his lone opponent, Justin Liberto, who was under the gun. Liberto bet 335,000 and Ruivo called. Liberto tabled {Q-Clubs}{J-Clubs}, Ruivo tossed his cards into the muck, and Liberto took the pot.

Manig Loeser Eliminated in 17th Place ($51,188)

Manig Loeser elimination

Manig Loeser raised to 250,000 from middle position and it folded to Manuel Ruivo in the cutoff. Ruivo announced "raise" and sat motionless for more than 30 seconds. He then slid out the raise to 625,000 and it folded back to Loeser who moved all in for just under 3,000,000.

Ruivo snap-called turning over {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}, and it was a classic coin flip situation as Loeser tabled {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}.

The dealer fanned the {k-Spades}{10-Spades}{9-Clubs} flop and Ruivo paired his king to take the lead. The turn {5-Hearts} and river {7-Hearts} were no help to Loeser, and he is the first Day 3 elimination earning $51,188 for his 17th-place finish.

Boatman Doubles Through Messmer

Barny Boatman double up
Barny Boatman double up

Aaron Messmer opened to 300,000 from middle position, Justin Liberto called from the button, and Barny Boatman shoved from the big blind for 1.17 million. Messmer called, and after a bit of time in the tank, Liberto folded.

Aaron Messmer: {K-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
Barny Boatman: {A-Hearts}{K-Spades}

Boatman had the preflop advantage and Messmer needed to improve in order to stack him. The board ran out {K-Clubs}{J-Spades}{5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds} and Boatman took the pot with top two pair to double up, leaving Messmer extremely short.

Sam Razavi raised to 235,000 from late position and Sean Marshall called from the button. With the action on Aaron Messmer in the small blind he moved all in for 255,000. "You guys can still fold," joked Messmer, but both players called.

They checked down the {k-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} runout and Messmer showed {a-Clubs}{9-Hearts}. Razavi turned over {a-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} and his pair of threes was enough to take the pot and score the knockout. Messer is our 16th-place finisher and will take home $51,188 for his efforts.

Jared Narzem: {K-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}
Sam Razavi: {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}

Razavi had the lead preflop and Narzem needed help from the deck to survive. The board ran out {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{8-Hearts} and Razavi took the pot with nines full to end Narzem's deep run in this event.

McKeehen Gets a Fold From Dixon

Nível 31 : 50,000/100,000, 15,000 ante

With about 500,000 chips already in the middle and the board reading {J-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{2-Hearts}, Joe McKeehen bet 225,000 from the small blind into his lone opponent, Richard Dixon, who was in the big blind. Dixon called.

The {5-Hearts} fell on the river and McKeehen bet again, 330,000 this time. Dixon went into the tank for just under a minute before he ultimately folded and the dealer pushed the pot McKeehen's way.
