Dash Dudley - 8th Place
Dash Dudley - 8th Place

Hand #10: Dash Dudley raised under the gun to 40,000, Andy Philachack made the call, Chad Cox called from small blind, then Tony Gregg called from the big blind. Four-way to the {5-Hearts}{7-Spades}{10-Hearts} flop, Cox shoved all-in, Gregg folded, Dudley called all in putting himself at risk, and Philachack folded.

Dudley: {4-Spades}{4-Diamonds}
Cox: {Q-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}

The turn was the {k-Diamonds} and the river brought the {10-Clubs}, and Dash Dudley was eliminated in eighth place.

Hands #8-9: Tony Gregg Doubles Up

Nível 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Hand #8 Doug Polk opened to 42,000 from the cutoff. Liam Alcock raised from the button to 82,000. Polk called and the dealer put out a flop of {9-Hearts}{8-Spades}{7-Clubs}. Polk quickly checked, Alcock made a bet of 105,000, and after a few seconds of thought Polk folded.

Hand #9 Tony Gregg moved all in for 214,000 and Dash Dudley one seat to his left followed suit, moving all in for 281,000. It was folded to Andy Philachack who thought it over for a few moments and counted out the chips to make the call, but ultimately he decided to lay it down. The hands were turned over for all to see:

Gregg: {J-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
Dudley: {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}

Gregg would take the lead on the {J-Spades}{8-Spades}{4-Spades} flop, but Dudley had the {K-Spades} for a flush draw plus two overs. The turn was the {6-Diamonds} to keep Gregg ahead. The river was the {2-Clubs} and Gregg doubled up while Dudley was clipped down to less than four big blinds.

Andrew Mackenzie Eliminated in 9th Place ($17,857)

Nível 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Andrew Mackenzie - 9th place
Andrew Mackenzie - 9th place

Hand #1: Doug Polk opened to 43,000 and picked up the blinds and antes. Andy Philachack smiled and said "take it down Doug" and Polk responded "you got the goods, you got the goods" as the dealer pushed him the pot.

Hand #2: Andy Philachack opened to 43,000 from the hijack and Andrew Mackenzie called from the big blind. The flop came {8-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{4-Hearts} and Mackenzie checked. Philachack bet 50,000 and Mackenzie moved all in for 218,000 total. Philachack made the call and the crowd was stunned when the hands were turned over:

Mackenzie: {10-Spades}{9-Diamonds} — an open-ended straight draw
Philachack: {J-Spades}{10-Clubs} — a gut-shot straight draw and two overs

Philachack was actually ahead with his jack-high and it would stay that way when the turn was the {7-Diamonds} and the river was the {2-Diamonds}. Mackenzie failed to improve and was eliminated in ninth place.

Philachack stood up, put his hands in the air and said "it's still a turbo guys" and cautioned Doug Polk to not steal his blinds. "I'm not afraid to call with jack-high," he said with a grin.

Doug Polk and Tony Gregg Headline Turbo Final Table; Action Starts at 1 p.m.

The End Boss is Lurking
The End Boss is Lurking

When play started yesterday in Event #23: $1,000 Turbo No-Limit Hold'em, 1,473 hopefuls were hoping to make their mark in this rapid-fire tournament. In less than six hours of play, they would get down to the final 171 which meant the money was made. Another six hours later Amanda Baker busted in 10th place, and they would wrap up play for the day. As Matt Brady, who would cash in this event, said "Whew, that was fun." Doug "WCGRider" Polk would probably agree with that statement after finishing the day with 971,000 and the chip lead.

Close behind Polk is Andy Philachack who ended the day with 906,000 in chips, while Liam Alcock rounds out the top three with 779,000. Lurking dangerously as a short stack is none other than Tony Gregg, who took down the last One Drop tournament and is considered one of the best players in the world. If he's able to amass some chips, it could be lights out for the rest of the table.

Our final table seating assignments and chip counts are as follows:

Cards will be in the air at 1 p.m. in the Amazon room, where we will play down until someone has a bracelet and the $251,969 first-place money. PokerNews will be there to provide you every hand so tune in, and don't blink, because you might miss three bustouts.
