Nguyen Doubles Through Mueller

Nível 11 : 800/1,600, 400 ante

Don Nguyen was on the button and moved all in for his last 30,400 over an open from Greg Mueller. Mueller called the raise and announced that he was pat. Nguyen quickly announced that he was also pat.

"Jack," said Mueller, fanning {J-}{9-}{7-}{6-}{2-}

"Eight-seven perfect," replied Nguyen, tabling a winning {8-}{7-}{4-}{3-}{2-}.

Nguyen raked in the double up early on Day 2 and now sits right around 64,000 in chips.

Harman, Juanda Lead Day 2 Field

Jen Harman Out in Front

Welcome back to our ongoing coverage of the 2014 World Series of Poker! The final 36 players in Event #13: $10,000 No-Limit 2-7 Draw Lowball return to the felt today with the goal of playing down to a final table of seven. Jen Harman is at the front of the pack heading into the day with 133,800 in chips.

Yesterday's play saw most of poker's elite hit the felt in what is certain to be one of the smallest events of the 2014 WSOP. With just 87 entrants, this intimate event was filled to the brim with notable names. Some of the big stacks returning for Day 2 include Shawn Sheikhan (122,400), Galen Hall (120,000), Ashton Griffin (119,000), Brian Rast (111,700), Paul Volpe (103,200), and Mike Watson (102,800).

Coming back with the second largest stack in the room is 2011 $10,000 No-Limit 2-7 Draw Lowball champion John Juanda. Juanda bagged 124,300 on Day 1 and will certainly be a force to be reckoned with as the day progresses. Juanda final tabled this event four years in a row (2009-2012) where he scored two fourths, a first, and a sixth place.

Other notable names coming back include Greg Mueller (90,200), Daniel Negreanu (89,600), Jean-Robert Bellande (85,700), 2010 $10,000 No-Limit 2-7 Draw Lowball champion and last year's runner-up David "Bakes" Baker (83,000), Jason Mercier (57,900), Shaun Deeb (55,500), Phil Hellmuth (52,100), Frank Kassela (32,700), Barry Greenstein (32,200), and two-time No-Limit 2-7 Draw Lowball champion Nick Schulman (14,200).

Play kicks off at 2 p.m. local time where the field is expected to play a full ten levels. As always, be sure to stay tuned to PokerNews for the most up to date information from the tournament felt.
