All eyes set on becoming the next bracelet winner

Welcome back to our ongoing coverage of the 2014 World Series of Poker! Today marks the start of Event #13: $10,000 No-Limit 2-7 Single Draw, where poker's elite will come out to compete in one of the purest games of poker.

The $10,000 No-Limit 2-7 single draw event has been a staple of the World Series of Poker and consistently attracts the top pros. Last year, the event saw a field of 87 total entrants and was whittled down to an absolutely stacked final table. The likes of John Hennigan, Layne Flack, Jon Turner, and Konstantine Puchkov had seats at the final table but fell short before being able to claim the ever-elusive bracelet. In the end, Jesse Martin was able to overcome David "Bakes" Baker during heads up play, denying Bakes his second bracelet in this game and earning Martin $253,524 in prize money.

We expect to see dozens of familiar faces comes out for this event, including two-time 2-7 Single Draw bracelet winner Nick Schulman, 2-7 bracelet winner John Juanda, Greg Raymer, Daniel Negreanu, Phil Ivey, and many more.

For those unfamiliar with the rules of this game, each player is dealt five cards in an attempt to make the best low hand. The best possible hand, or the wheel, is 2-3-4-5-7 off suit. Flushes and straights count against players. After the deal there is a round of betting, then each active player can draw any amount of new cards to their hand. There is one more round of betting and then the hands are showed down.

Play kicks of at 4 p.m. in the Orange section of the Amazon room. As always, be sure to stay tuned here to PokerNews for all of the latest from the felt!
