Welcome back to our ongoing coverage of the 2014 World Series of Poker! Today marks the conclusion of Event #13: $10,000 No-Limit 2-7 Draw Lowball Championship. Yesterday's play saw the returning 36 players whittled down to a final table of seven. Paul Volpe, the only player at the final table without at least one WSOP bracelet to his name, leads the field with 783,000.

While Volpe holds the largest stack at the final table, he'll find tough competition in his competitors who represent poker's elite. Also appearing at the final table are Jason Mercier (469,000), Daniel Negreanu (426,000), Brian Rast (390,000), Larry Wright (203,000), John Monnette (169,000) and Abe Mosseri (162,000).

The field saw eliminations at a rapid pace yesterday, with the returning 36 being cut down to the final 12 in less than 4 hours. Some of the players to bust before the money was reached include Phil Hellmuth, Jean-Robert Bellande, David "Bakes" Baker, George Danzer, Shaun Deeb, Shawn Sheikhan, John Juanda, and start-of-day chip leader Jen Harman.

Once the money was reached, Jon Turner, Mike Watson, Greg Mueller, Joe Cassidy, Ashton Griffin, Darren Elias, and Rep Porter were all eliminated with another WSOP cash to their name. Unfortunately for each of those players, the dream of making the final table was not able to come to fruition.

Play for the bracelet begins at 2 p.m. local time. Be sure to stay tuned to PokerNews for all of the latest as this tournament plays down to a champion!

Deck Change!

We haven't even started yet but the players are already complaining!

Although we are located on the feature table — or the Mothership as some would say — and there is a live stream, the use of RFID cards isn't needed since we are playing a draw game.

With the RFID cards being substantially larger than the standard poker cards, it eliminates the chance for players to squeeze out when drawing. Consequently several players have asked for the standard poker deck to be used and the Tournament Director is working on getting a replacement deck, and thus the start of play has been delayed slightly.

Hands #1-5: Mercier Picking Up Pots

Nível 19 : 5,000/10,000, 3,000 ante

Hand #1: The action folded to Jason Mercier and he raised to 20,000 and John Monnette made the call from the big blind.

Monnette drew two and Mercier drew one with Monnette checking to Mercier as he dropped in a bet of 32,000. Monnette cut down his stack a few times before tossing in the call. Mercier tabled his {10-}{7-}{6-}{5-}{2-}, and Monnette mucked.

Hand #2: Jason Mercier raised to 20,000 from under the gun and Paul Volpe made the call. Mercier discarded two and Volpe drew one. Mercier then checked, and when Volpe bet out 32,000 Mercier quickly called and tabled his {9-}{8-}{7-}{4-}{3-}. Volpe just as quickly mucked.

Hand #3: Paul Volpe opened to 22,000 and Larry Wright called from the small blind and discarded one as Volpe drew two.

Wright pushed out a bet of 32,000 and Volpe made the call. Wright tabled his {10-}{9-}{6-}{5-}{4-} and Volpe mucked.

Hand #4: From the cutoff, John Monnette moved all in for roughly 100,000 and won the blinds and antes.

Hand #5: Paul Volpe raised to 23,000 from under the gun and Brian Rast called from the big blind and drew three as Volpe stood pat.

Both players checked and Volpe tabled his {J-}{9-}{6-}{3-}{2-} to prompt a muck from Rast.

Hands #6-9: Rast Fires, Volpe Folds

Nível 19 : 5,000/10,000, 3,000 ante

Hand #6: Abe Mosseri opened the action with a raise to 22,000. He picked up the blinds and antes.

Hand #7: Action folded around to Brian Rast on the button and he cut out a raise to 26,000. Paul Volpe and Mosseri folded their blinds and Rast raked in the chips.

Hand #8: Larry Wright was under the gun and opened with a raise to 29,000. He picked up the blinds and antes.

"It's amazing that I get all of these hands and nobody calls," Wright said with a laugh after the hand.

Hand #9: Rast raised to 26,000 from the hijack and Paul Volpe called from the cutoff. For the draw, Rast picked up two new cards and Volpe pulled in one. Rast fired 45,000 and Volpe let go of his cards. Rast was pushed the pot.

Hand #11: Paul Volpe raised to 27,000 and Abe Mosseri moved all in with Larry Wright calling as Volpe folded.

Mosseri stood pat, as did Wright with Mosseri tabling his {10-}{8-}{7-}{3-}{2-}. However it would be Wright's {9-}{8-}{4-}{3-}{2-} that would see him scoop the pot and send Mosseri to the rail in 7th place for a $27,633 payday.

Hand #12: Daniel Negreanu put out a raise to 28,000 and Brian Rast called. Negreanu pulled one new card while Rast opted for two. Negreanu fired out a bet of 41,000 and Rast moved forward a call. Negreanu tabled {9-}{7-}{6-}{5-}{4-} and Rast threw his hand into the muck. Negreanu was pushed the pot.

Hand #13: Daniel Negreanu raised to 35,000 only to have Paul Volpe three-bet to 110,000 from the big blind. Negreanu called and the two were off to the draw. Volpe stood pat and Negreanu pulled one new card.

Volpe checked post-draw and Negreanu knocked the table back as well. Volpe tabled {10-}{9-}{7-}{5-}{3-}, Negreanu mucked, and Volpe was pushed the pot.

Hand #14: Jason Mercier raised to 24,000 from the hijack and Negreanu came over the top for 74,000 from the next seat over. Action folded back to Mercier and he threw his hand away as well.

Hands #15-19: Wright Forcing Folds

Nível 20 : 6,000/12,000, 3,000 ante

Hand #15: Jason Mercier raised to 24,000 from under the gun and collected the blinds and antes.

Hand #16: Paul Volpe raised to 25,000 and both Larry Wright and Jason Mercier called from the blinds. Wright drew one, Mercier drew two and Volpe drew two.

All three players checked and Mercier tabled his {10-}{9-}{5-}{4-}{3-} and won the pot.

Hand #17: Paul Volpe opened the pot to 25,000 and Daniel Negreanu pushed out a three-bet amounting to 80,000. Volpe folded and Negreanu was pushed the pot.

Hand #18: Paul Volpe opened to 27,000 from under the gun and Brian Rast defended his big blind as both players drew one card.

Rast then led for 48,000 with Volpe calling. Rast showed his {8-}{7-}{5-}{4-}{3-} and Volpe instantly mucked.

Hand #19: Larry Wright raised to 24,000 and both Brian Rast and Paul Volpe called from the blinds. Rast drew one, Volpe drew two and Wright stood pat.

The action checked to Wright and he splashed the pot with a bet of 50,000. Rast went into the tank for over three minutes before folding as Volpe now took his turn entering the tank as he deliberated for close to three minutes also before folding.

Wright tabled his {Q-}{9-}{7-}{5-}{4-} and scooped the pot.

"I'm not bluffing anymore today Daniel!" added Wright in the direction of Daniel Negreanu.
