Dalessandri & Mooney Fall to Bring About Two-Table Redraw

Nível 12 : 800/1,600, 0 ante
Geoffrey Mooney
Geoffrey Mooney

We missed the elimination of John Dalessandri, but we do know he was ousted after a bad beat by Sam Higgs. Dalessandri got his chips in holding {a-}{a-}{x-}{x-} and was well out in front of Higgs' {k-}{k-}{7-}{4-}; however, the latter wound up making a straight with his low cards, and that was all she wrote for Dalessandri.

Not long after, Geoffrey Mooney limped from the button and the small blind did the same. Higgs then exercised his option from the big with a raise, Mooney called, and the small blind folded. When the flop came down {4-Spades}{k-Hearts}{8-Clubs}, Higgs bet 7,000, Mooney called, and the {8-Hearts} appeared on the turn.

This time Higgs checked, and Mooney fired out a big bet. Higgs check-raised the pot and Mooney called off to created a pot well over 100K.

Mooney: {8-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{7-Hearts}
Higgs: {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{9-Spades}{4-Diamonds}

Mooney had turned trips, but he was drawing dead as Higgs held a full house. The meaningless {9-Hearts} was put out on the river, and then Mooney took his leave from the tournament. With that, the field is down to the final 16 players and will redraw down to two tables.

Lim Losses Out to Rossiter

Nível 12 : 800/1,600, 0 ante
Aaron Lim
Aaron Lim

Jeff Rossiter opened for 4,000 from the cutoff only to have Aaron Lim three-bet the pot from the small blind. Rossiter responded with a four-bet and Lim wasted little time in calling off his remaining chips.

Rossiter: {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}
Lim: {a-}{k-}{j-}{3-}

The board ran out clean, and Rossiter's kings held to send Lim to the rail in 19th place.

Pan Doubles Through Watson

Nível 12 : 800/1,600, 0 ante

The money went in preflop and Nathan Pan was all in and at risk for his last 21,400 in chips, Mike Watson looked him up.

Watson: {K-Clubs} {K-Hearts} {10-Clubs} {3-Hearts}
Pan: {A-Clubs} {10-Clubs} {Q-Clubs} {Q-Spades}

The {2-Hearts} {2-Clubs} {3-Diamonds} flop was no help for Pan but he picked up a flush draw on the {4-Clubs} turn, though two of his outs were held by his opponent. It wasn't one of the two remaining queens in the deck that saved Pan, but rather the {A-Spades} on the river.

Nick Oiberman is Out, Man!

Nível 11 : 600/1,200, 0 ante

Nick Oiberman, who registered for this event at the start of the day, opened for 4,200 from the button and received calls from Geoffrey Mooney and Ismael Bojang in the small and big blinds respectively. Two checks on the {6-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{7-Spades} flop saw Oiberman bet his last 5,200, and both his opponents called before checking down the {3-Hearts} turn and {A-Diamonds} river.

"Ace-queen," Oiberman said before tabling the {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}{j-Clubs}{9-Spades}.

"Two pair," Mooney responded and revealed the {k-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}. Ismael simply mucked, and that was all she wrote for Oiberman.

Burns Stays Alive

Nível 11 : 600/1,200, 0 ante

Kahle Burns was at risk for his last 900 chips on a flop of {9-Diamonds} {Q-Diamonds} {5-Clubs} and there were 14,400 in the pot in a three-way hand between him, Jamie Pickering and Jonathan Duhamel. Burns shoved, Pickering isolated and Duhamel mucked his cards.

Burns: {A-Clubs} {K-Clubs} {A-Diamonds} {3-Diamonds}
Pickering: {J-Spades} {8-Spades} {Q-Clubs} {10-Hearts}

The board completed with the {5-Hearts} turn and the {7-Diamonds} river. "He saved you," Duhamel said. "I folded {5-} {7-}.

On table 10, Mike Watson and Brian Roberts were involved in a bigger pot of 30,000 until the river of a {4-Hearts} {4-Diamonds} {2-Diamonds} {J-Clubs} {A-Diamonds} board. Watson fired 24,000 and that was enough to avoid a showdown.

Winter is Not Coming

Nível 11 : 600/1,200, 0 ante

An {8-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} flop saw Sean Winter get his stack all in against Jeff Rossiter.

Rossiter: {k-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}
Winter: {j-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{9-Spades}

Winter held a gutshot straight and flush draw, which he needed to hit to overcome the jacks of Rossiter. The {4-Spades} turn was no help to Winter, and neither was the {2-Diamonds} river.

"Have fun with you flips," Winter said as his parting words.
