Drinan in Hunt for Another SCOOP Title After Record 2020 Series

Nível 31 : 40,000/80,000, 0 ante
Connor Drinan
Connor Drinan

It almost counts as an upset that Connor "blanconegro" Drinan has failed to bring home a PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker title in 2021 after he rampaged to a record five crowns in 2020.

That could change after Day 2 of SCOOP-93-M: $1,050 PLO [6-Max, PLO Main Event], $750K Gtd.

With 18 of 935 entries left in the hunt, Drinan is among them, and he has secured a pretty big stack with 8,758,358, ranking third behind Ramon "ZéDoBlefe11" Sorgatto (15,437,916) and Tyler "Juicy_J_93" Jardine (9,952,887).

In addition to the notables above, others making it through included former EPT Prague champ Julian "jutrack" Track, Thiago "KKremate" Crema, Jan "Tagult" Collado and Espen "locomi" Myrmo. The latter two have the shortest stacks and will be under 20 big blinds when play resumes at 50,000/100,000 for Day 3.

Some of those cashing among the 119 paid places but missing out on Day 3 included Eelis "EEE27" Parssinen, Francisco "Tomatee" Benitez, Ole "wizowizo" Schemion, Daniel "Oxota" Dvoress, Yuri "theNERDguy" Dzivielevski, and Patrick "pads1161" Leonard.

Day 3 will see play resume at 1:05 p.m. EDT and action continue until a winner has emerged to lay claim to $153,356 in first-place prize money. Come back to PokerNews then to follow this event once more.
