Day 1 Action

The high roller tournament attracted a field of elite players, including Wiktor "Iimitless" Malinowski, Joao "Naza114" Vieira and Bruno "great dant" Volkmann, who is fresh off a win in the WCOOP 63-H: $10,300 NLHE for $331,595.

PokerStars Team Online players Fintan "EasyWithAces" Hand, Ben "Spraggy" Spragg and Benjamin "bencb789" Rolle all made deep runs in the tournament. Rolle fared the best of the three players and busted in 16th place.

"kZhh" was eliminated on the money bubble in 14th place after their two-pair didn't stand up to an opponent's full house. Eder "edercampana" Campana was the first player out in the money for an $11,236 prize and $8,750 in bounties after his king-jack couldn't get there against the opponent's ace-eight.

Day 1 broke after over eight hours of play when "ludako123" busted in 10th place after their ace-ten was no good against the pocket sevens of Thomas "MarToMchat" Boivin.

Day 2 will begin on Sept. 11 at 5:05 p.m. GMT. Top prizes in the high roller tournament include $107,949 for both first and second, $71,991 for third and $55,272 for fourth.

Stay tuned as the PokerNews live reporting team will be back on Saturday to bring you Day 2 updates.
