Today at 7:05 p.m. CEST, it's time for Day 1 of the PokerStars WCOOP-39-H: $5,200 NLHE [Progressive KO, High Roller] is one of the tournaments which feel the effect of the schedule change that was announced a few days ago. As Fridays are now a day off for all WCOOP players, Day 2 of this tournament will conclude on Saturday, September 12 to give players a break before battling it out for the biggest part of the $1,000,000 guaranteed prize pool.

With players like Andras "probirs" Nemeth,Conor "1_conor_b_1" Beresford, Viktor "papan9_p$" Ustimov, and Dimitar "KuuL" Danchev winning their first WCOOP titles while Parker "tonkaaaa" Talbot and Sebastian "p0cket00" Sikorski are still awaiting one according to the PokerStars Blog, today's field is expecting to be filled again with many poker stars.

Adrian "Amadi_017" Mateos won his fourth a few days ago to get on the same number of titles as Joao "Naza114" Vieira, Gleb "Ti0373" Tremzin, and Andrey "Kroko-dill" Zaichenko but some of them might be back today to try and make it five just like Dan "djk123" Kelly and Dzmitry "Colisea" Urbanovich.

The players will get 250,000 chips in their starting stack with the first level of the day featuring a small blind of 1,200, a big blind of 2,400, and a running ante of 300. Level duration will remain at 20 minutes throughout Day 1 with registration open for the first five hours and five minutes of play. Players can reenter up to three times if needed during that period. Day 1 will end after seven hours and 45 minutes of play.

As this is a progressive knockout tournament, players will start with a bounty of $2,500 on their heads. When a player is eliminated, 50% of their bounty will go to the bankroll of the player who eliminated them while the other 50% will go onto their own bounty.

PokerNews will be there from the first knockout until the final break so make sure to follow along with all the action.
