Nine players are left after a short Day 2 of the 2020 PokerStars Stadium Series Freezeout Weekly Final - High: $2,100 and they will return on Tuesday, July 28, at 7:05 p.m. CEST to battle it out for the best part of the $1,536,000 prize pool. The tournament originally had a prize pool set of $1,500,000 but was surpassed as the event attracted 768 players.

Ukraine's "VladTheSlaye" finished third in the SCOOP-02-M: $215 NLHE 8-Max PKO Mini Thursday Thrill SE a few months ago but is sitting in pole position for Day 3 with 21,772,013 in chips which is worth a whopping 181 big blinds when the tournament restarts. "VladTheSlaye" eliminated "SmilleThHero" first to take him to the top of the counts as the first player to break the 10-million mark and didn't let up from there onwards. He also cracked Jasper "AppelKruimel" Wetemans's aces when he rivered a set of nines, He then busted Alex "dynoalot" Difelice and Mikolaj "T3G3S" Zawadzki in quick succession to get the tournament down to the final table.

Second in the counts is Canada's Parker "tonkaaaa" Talbot with 17,581,939 which is worth almost 150 big blinds. Talbot eliminated Jochum "groengras" Weeninkand Helio "hneves182" Neves on the final two tables to secure his finishing spot today. "LeslieGroves" from Russia also claims a spot on the podium with 8,282,882 in chips.

But there are still some more poker stars left on the final table: EPT Barcelona 2014 winner Andre "Dönig" Lettau, 2016 bracelet winner "Philip "Grindation" McAllister", EPT Copenhagen 2010 winner Anton "Bomber&Granater" Wigg, and Alexandru "alexxt7" Farcasanu are the ones we know their names of. But two-time Sunday Million winner "thx4urm0n3y" and "losero88" who won it once are also still in it and have some experience in claiming victories on PokerStars.

This is how they are situated for the final table:

When Day 2 started, 87 players returned but by the time the first break started, only 49 were left. Players like Fedor "GLITCHSYSTEM" Kruse, Craig "onscreen1234" Shannon, Max "goodeh99" Silver, and Simon "Igorkarkarof" Ronnow Pedersen all left with their hopes dashed. Another hour later, 20 more players were gone. This included familiar names and faces like Paul "Fold Machiii" Dando and the Day 1 chip leader Thomas "MarToMchat" Boivin.

Only two tables were left by the third break and it would only take an hour before the tournament got to the final table bubble which only lasted a break and a few hands. All players have pocketed at least $23,615 and a ticket to the Grand Final on Sunday, August 2 worth $5,200.

With the tournament on break, the final table players will return to finish the remainder of Level 31 which has a small blind of 60,000, a big blind of 120,000, and a running ante of 15,000. Once they finish this level, the duration of each level will increase to 30 minutes.

Play will continue until the final Weekly Final winner has been crowned and PokerNews will be there from the first raise until the final river has been dealt so make sure to come back to follow all the action.
