Lefrancois Forces Fold from Holz

Nível 12 : Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

On a heads-up completed board of {4-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{k-Hearts}, the pot was already 140,000 when Pascal Lefrancois had moved all in for 65,000.

The action was then on Fedor Holz in the hijack, who went into the tank.

As his shot clock neared zero after using two of his time banks, Holz eventually elected on a fold and the pot was pushed to Lefrancois.

Cowboy Dan Doubles Up

Nível 11 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Dan Smith
Dan Smith

On a flop of {2-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{9-Clubs}, Dan Smith had made it 27,000 to go when Orpen Kisacikoglu re-raised to 100,000. After a few seconds, Smith moved all in for a total of 67,000 and Kisacikoglu quickly called to put Smith at risk.

Dan Smith: {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}
Orpen Kisacikoglu: {q-Clubs}{3-Clubs}

Smith was well in the lead with his flopped set of nines but still needed to dodge Kisacikoglu's flush draw. The turn {8-Hearts} was safe for Smith and the {4-Diamonds} river improved his hand to nines full of fours, and he was pushed the substantial pot for a nice double up.

Aido Doubles Through Chidwick

Nível 11 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Sergio Aido
Sergio Aido

Stephen Chidwick opened to 9,000 in middle position and Chad Eveslage called on the button, while Sergio Aido came along from the big blind.

All three players checked on the {5-Hearts}{j-Spades}{4-Hearts} flop and Aido led out on the {k-Hearts} turn. Chidwick raised to 48,000 and Eveslage folded before Aido three-bet jammed for 134,000. Chidwick called with a bigger stack.

Sergio Aido: {q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
Stephen Chidwick: {a-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}

Aido wasn't going anywhere with his queen-high flush and Chidwick couldn't get there with the nut flush blocker as the {a-Clubs} peeled off on the river to earn the Spaniard the double.

Double Trouble with Queen-High

Nível 11 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

With 28,000 already in the middle, Sam Grafton and Mike Watson were heads-up on a flop of {a-Spades}{7-Clubs}{4-Spades}. Grafton then check-called a bet of 9,000 from Watson and the two went to a turn {4-Hearts}.

The action then proceeded to check through to the {k-Diamonds} river, which was also checked.

Grafton flipped over {q-Spades}{8-Spades} for queen-high and Watson also turned over {q-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} for queen-high. The two pros shared some friendly jabs as they split the pot after the intense check-down.

As this is a two-day event, play will continue until a winner is awarded the coveted spade and the hefty payout.

The PokerNews live reporting team will be on-site to provide live updates on the latest high roller as well as other events in the 2023 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure (PCA).
