Tim Chung Takes One Down

Nível 14 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

The PokerNews team arrived at the table, where Tim Chung was proudly pointing to the empty seat next to his. He went on to tell us the following:

"I limped blind on blind with {k-}{2-}, the big blind raised to 150,000 total and I called. The flop came {3-}{4-}{5-}, and went check-check. Turn was an {a-}, where I bet 350,000 and he called. The river came another {a-}, and I put him all-in for about 1,000,000. He snap-called with {q-}{10-}. That's a good hand, right?"

Kenney Climbing the Leaderboard

Nível 14 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Bryn Kenney started off the day with a re-entry within the first couple levels and has since caught fire. He raised to 135,000 from middle position and was called by the big blind.

The flop came {10-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} and both players checked to the {q-Diamonds} on the turn. The big blind led out for 175,000 and Kenney raised to 540,000. His opponent thought for a moment but then elected to fold, sending another pot Kenney's way.

Blanco Wins A Big One

Nível 14 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

On an {a-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} flop, with around 750,000 in the middle, Lucas Blanco check-called a 225,000 continuation bet.

Blanco check-called again on the {q-Spades} turn, this time for 575,000, before the {8-Spades} came down on the river. Blanco checked a third time, and called a 1,700,000 shove with {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}, which was good to ship the huge pot over to him.

Rivest Springs Into the Lead

Nível 14 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

After scoring a couple knockouts, Kevin Rivest has amassed a ton of chips and didn't stop there. Facing a raise of 150,000 from middle position, Rivest called from the big blind and saw a flop of {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{2-Spades}.

Rivest checked to his opponent who continued for 200,000. Rivest check-raised to 510,000 and his opponent laid his hand down. Rivest raked in another pot and has now climbed over 10 million chips, taking over the new chip lead.

Pollak Can't Fire a Third Street

Nível 13 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

The board read {q-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{a-Clubs} and there was already over 1.05 million in the pot. Benjamin Pollak led out for 325,000 from the big blind and Andrej Desset called from the button.

The river brought the {4-Spades} and Pollak checked this time. Desset checked behind and Pollak tabled {k-Clubs}, saying "You got it," to Desset. Patiently waiting to see both cards, Pollak turned over the {7-Diamonds} as well and Desset revealed {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds} and scooped the pot.

Goryachev Gets There

Nível 13 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Endre Sagstuen opened from middle position with a raise to 110,000 and Viacheslav Goryachev called two to his left. The dealer spread a {9-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{a-Clubs} flop, on which Sagstuen opted to put out a continuation bet of 175,000. Goryachev called again, and the two players went to a {10-Clubs} turn.

Sagstuen continued again, this time betting 300,000 before Goryachev, seemingly reluctantly, put his entire 570,000-chip stack in. It took no time at all for Sagstuen to call, tabling {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} for two pair, way out in front of Goryachev's {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}. Goryachev looked set to leave the tournament area, but was saved by the deck as the {10-Diamonds} came down on the river, counterfeiting Sagstuen's two pair.

Cantu Can't Hold On

Nível 13 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Vladislav Mezheritsky
Vladislav Mezheritsky

Vlad Mezheritsky's 2,330,000 stack was in the middle and Brandon Cantu had called it off. It was Cantu's {j-Clubs}{j-Hearts} looking to fade the overs of Mezheritsky's {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}. The {4-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} flop was all clear, with Mezheritsky finding no help on the {4-Diamonds} turn. Cantu was crushed, though, as the {a-Clubs} landed on the river.

Mezheritsky leapt to his feet. "Yes! One time!" he shouted jubilantly, before dragging in the giant pot.

Ruzicka Scores a Double Up

Nível 13 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

The board read {k-Clubs}{j-Spades}{8-Hearts}{8-Clubs} and Ruzicka was faced with a bet of 550,000 from the small blind. He thought for a moment and then announced all in for around 1.3 million. The action folded back to the small blind who quickly made the call.

Ruzicka tabled {a-Spades}{8-Spades} and his opponent turned over {k-Spades}{9-Clubs}. The river brought the {6-Spades} and Ruzicka held on to double up.

Ditz Does It Again

Nível 13 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Facing an open to 110,000 from the player in the hijack, and a call from Lucas Blanco on the button, Franz Ditz found a spot to shove his last 1,400,000 from the big blind.

The original raiser quickly folded, with Blanco asking for a count. After the amount was confirmed, Blanco gave it a minute's consideration before opting to make the call. He was flipping with {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts} versus Ditz's {7-Clubs}{7-Hearts}, with the odds shifting hugely in favour of Ditz on a {9-Spades}{6-Hearts}{8-Clubs} flop. The {5-Clubs} turn completed Ditz's straight, with Blanco drawing to just two chop outs. The {9-Hearts} river wasn't one of them and Ditz scooped in the pot.

The whole table turned to the PokerNews team to announce that this wasn't the first all-in he'd won today. Nor the second or third. Apparently Ditz is five for five all-ins today! We'll keep a close eye on him and let you know how long that record continues.
