The Main Event is down to its final six players with €810,400 awaiting the winner. The €10,000 High Roller is down to 18 players with €597,000 set aside for the champion.
Leading the charge is Nick Petrangelo who already made the final table of the €25,000 High Roller (4th, €205,900) at the start of the Malta poker festival. Nivember Niner Sylvain Loosli sits in second. Sam Greenwood is the shortest stack starting today.

On the first hand of play Steve O'Dwyer raised to 48,000 and Artem Metalidi called from he button, and the flop brought out .

Six minutes went by, and the pained look on O'Dwyer's face grew exponentially. In the end the former EPT Grand Final champion folded and Metalidi took down the first hand of the after about 10 minutes of play.

Play has just begun, and on one of the first hands it was Charles Carrel who shook things up with a cold four-bet. Ivan Luca raised to 44,000, Sylvain Loosli three-bet to 125,000 and Carrel four-bet from the big blind to 305,000 chips.
Luca folded quite quickly and Loosli pondered for a while before also letting go of his hand.
With so much action going on, sometimes you miss some details. We have some specifics about a hand between Mike McDonald and Viacheslav Goryachev, but not all. We are sure the board was and Mike McDonald bet 200,000 on the river. Goryachev made the call and beat McDonald's with his .
